I only just joined your channel and started watching your videos on this Pursuit of Jade. I noticed during your video, someone asked about the long arms on the hats of the court officials wear. This show is based on a web novel called Chasing Jade. It is set in a fictional dynasty that is aesthetically like the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD). The first emperor of Song supposedly invented these hats to prevent officials from getting closer enough to whisper to each other during audiences. Each arm of the hat is 2-3 ft long.
