I'm not sure if you're still thinking Alaric is a vamp but I believe in the last two eps we've seen him without his ring on by his car, and carrying vervain in his bare hand, so I think that rules him out

I take Caroline's side in this situation as I have been in matt's shoe and he was he was ashamed of this job status this whole episode. Sure Caroline was rude as hell to ben but he took that hard as what Caroline was projecting on him. When we feel self conscious we take things people say to others rather personally. Also Caroline was not guilt tripping him she was actually admitting that she was trying to work on it. We saw it wth bonnie couple episodes before and she tried to understand her perspective, here also she is trying to understand why matt is angry. I love your reactions but here in this argument Caroline is right. Also I am saying this by keeping my bias aside from the whole show.

Yeah I definitely don’t disagree with you man! I’m mostly just memeing but Caroline is just as hurt / broken as anyone else, and like I’d said a couple of episodes ago, she just really wants that connection with people. As a result, she’s really desperate in some situations, she gets taken advantage of, and she is really self aware of her actions (I love this about her!) But yeah I guess if anything this is what I love about her character. She’s really relatable and based on the little bits we know about her, she’s just starved for a genuine relationship with people who actually see her for her and care about her. Naturally she’s going to be really shaky trying to express herself properly and her development can be a little messy, but we’re seeing her develop in real time 🥹 I just wanted to write this in case anyone in future gets the idea that I dislike her or anything. Aside from Damon, Bonnie and Elena, I think Caroline is one of my favourites in the show. I get swept up in the vibes for sure because I have empathy for all of the characters so that’s my bad, but I agree! She’s a really fun character to watch grow 🙂‍↕️

Ooooh I didn’t notice him without the ring by his car 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ There have been a few things in not just this ep but the next two that I’ve seen where I have questioned myself and been like wait a seconddddd (the vervain being one for sure, I can’t reason that lmao) so indeed need to go back to the drawing board with that. Mainly his conversations about his wife Isobel and Damon / how he’s been handling that. I guess the other thing is that he is mega mega ballsy with everything he’s done so far? He really exudes a kind of confidence and strength which I think helped along this idea that he must be a vamp. Most other humans would run but I guess it’s just as simple as Alaric has answers to find and names to take lmao
