Look, I'm not gonna say there aren't vampires who try to be good, but I'm always on the side of humans in this show even though I love a lot of the vampire characters (Damon mainly, but others we'll meet later). Vampirism is just a curse on humanity, even the ones who try to do good have hundreds of years of accidentally/indirectly/purposefully killing or worse turning humans and continuing the cursed cycle. I'm sure a lot of them probably want to die too, like Damon first did after Stefan convinced him to turn. Like think about it, sure Damon we love #teamDamon, but just his existence is the reason we have Isobel boo #isobelsucksandiscringe. So clearly all of them have to die, so we don't get more Isobels and that's why John and the other human fighters ain't such bad dudes. Also poor Anna, waited 145 years to get her mom out of the tomb only for her to die right away.

Yeah definitely not pushing back on that front! And ugh yessss Anna losing her mother was a gut punch. That sucked.
