talk about birthing people

Friend of the pod elon

Lauren

Losing 80+ pounds cured me of my borderline personality disorder so, please, keep fat shaming, girls. You’ve really changed my life for the better.

Mateo Sánchez Fitzgerald

Tbf many countries benefit from America's military over-expenditure not just Israel.

Anonymous

Someone can confirm if this is true but pretty sure Israel is globally powerful because it provides the US/western countries with a foothold in the region that they otherwise would not have.

Ann Smajstrla

Yesss I was hoping the ladies would cover Bruenig’s article & the backlash

Brittni

Frail activism, thank you Dasha

Meg

please! @ norm on the pod

S T

“Imagine being a fat activist rather than just losing weight” 💀 but really.

I’ve def become agoraphobic since covid. I have no prior mental health struggles, but I can barely leave my apartment without having a panic attack. I’m slowly working towards back to normal. Good thing is I’ve lost 25 during the pandemic due to eating better :)

Anonymous

If you are looking for the most moronic take on the Israel/Palestinian conflict, you have found the right episode.

Doug Dee

On Shudder later in the year - does that mean I have to wait until Christmas?

Pirates sleep soundly

Dasha winning the genetic lottery doesn't include lucid israel/palestine takes but to each their own, ladies

If you are looking for the most moronic take on ___________, you have found the right podcast. That’s the point.

Anonymous

Lost 100lbs in the past year. No one is happy being fat.

S T

lost 30 lbs since the pandemme started and who knew!? Eating better and finding a type of exercise you enjoy makes you...feel better? Shocking.

Mateo Sánchez Fitzgerald
>>59777560

yes though I think it's more regionally powerful than globally powerful. Ithe diplomatic backing of the U.S and its armamentistic industrial deals with the West and other world powers (like India) what helps them the most. Zionists lobbies are also veeery influential in both U.S parties. I think in exchange the U.S gets high military technology and an important market for its Industrial military complex and also an important ally that fights Iran's proxy allies (Hezbollah and Hamas)

free palestine 🖤

These Israel takes are so God damn basic.

Libby Marrs

I love u girls and wish you well <3333 i am literally so thankful for your words...

Israel takes straight outta the Protocols. Bye bye.

Darius

This Israel-Palestine take is such garbage.

I expect a higher consciousness from you two. But you are really conventional when it comes to vaccines. Peer pressure was the first reason Dasha took the shot and then you both admit your comforts, if you can't travel, etc. Anna saying "I don't want to get high and mighty about it." My god. Lift up the carpet and do some SERIOUS research instead of opening your beaks and letting what the MSM says influential you. There are plenty of sources to educate you that the experimental C-19 vaccine is dangerous, the mRNA technology destroying your immunity for starters., so that any ailment come along and your body cannot ward it off. For the safety of your bodies and your baby, I beseech you to listen to Dr. Michael Yeadon,, a virologist who was Pfizer's Chief Scientists and Vice President for 15 years. He is or rather was the consummate insider. https://tinyurl.com/svr3j26u

frozen charlotte

Can you guys please include time stamps so I can skip some of your not good takes lmao

Lol sounds like you really stan Dr. Michael Yeadon. Get ahold of yourself.

mattdeb21

I know y'all are not at all experts on intl affairs and foreign policy and I disagree with some of your takes but idk why I still really enjoy you talking about geopolitics, even at times when you don't seem to have a clue

Mateo Sánchez Fitzgerald

It's refreshing to hear the girls express compassion and vulnerability with the bruenig case 🥺

Anonymous

Also Aspergian is a genius term

Anonymous

Are people really becoming as pathetic as senile house cats due to this???

Anonymous
>>59820917

Same! I don't come here for sound takes on geopolitics; only to be entertained and hear hot takes on culture. Some people in this comment section seem offended or upset at their takes; which I find ridiculous. They're not experts and shouldn't be treated as such.

So poorly informed it’s boring. Zionists lack fear of God? The people launching 1000s of missiles for which an expensive (non-retaliatory) defense system had to be purchased and starting fights in the streets are not the aggressors? At what point do people become worthy of defending themselves in your eyes? When they’re reduced to ghettos or suffering pogroms or in concentration camps? Jesus. Losing my patronage... it’s like having to listen to bella hadid’s last insta post read out loud. Mostly disappointed because I am used to hot takes from you two and this was crass and shitty. Trashing merch I bought and not recommending you to anyone. Quit being intellectually lazy, Americans being intellectually lazy as a group is going to end up biting all of us here in the ass, even those of us who still bother to wake up and think for ourselves every day.

I enjoyed the episode. I had two small gripes that are long winded. (1) I don’t think the recent discussion of “weight” in COVID-19 news is motivated by “fat” reclamation advocates inserting themselves, so much as a modern conversation about the appropriateness of the medical model’s BMI as the arbiter of obesity. The same conversation is already happening in social work, psychiatry, psychology and other fields that rely on the DSM. I think it’s scapegoat-y to say that people opposed to the BMI are just fat activists and not also lots of folks not just with EDs that oppose using an outdated medical model of healthy bodies. (2) I agree that analogizing Israel to colonialist enterprises is a deeply effective way of understanding the conflict, because it is a colonialist project — but it is not exclusively one. Similarly (and on some level more appropriately) Israel is compared to Apartheid South Africa; Israel is an apartheid state, but still that is insufficient. Israel is probably the only example of a successful liberationist movement and refugee return project. Israelis can’t just pack up and go somewhere. And they are not lacking in conviction. They certainly fear g-d. The IDF is being overrun by most accounts by the religious community which was a historically secular institution. I’d suggest checking out Yehuda HaKohen and/or Rudy Rochman, I don’t agree with either of them entirely anymore than I do either of you, but I’d be happy to connect you. Idk. I love you two though 💕

Another hit show

pretty sure israelis are the ones with the passports granting entry to 160 countries and territories while palestinians are trapped in an open air prison with automatic weapons guarding the borders of gaza killing anyone who tries to leave but ok lol

“mommy milky”

Laughing at all the comments that are basically triggered at your Israel/Palestine take. This is a podcast by 2 NYC art h*es, you're the joke if you take their geopolitical takes seriously.

Anonymous

My pretend internet girlfriends do NOT have the correct geopolitical opinions. Unacceptable.

Unfortunately we live in an era where the takes of social media figures/celebrities/podcasters are the basis of people getting doxxed, fired, harassed in the streets etc regardless of how vapid and ill-informed those social media figures are. We act as if it’s important for people to use their platforms to be outspoken, if so then it’s everyone’s responsibility to also push back on those voices, right? After the past year + do you honestly believe that those with big voices online don’t affect our everyday lives, intimidate politicians into retracting statements, and push corporations to make / retract statements ? You can use your voice one way or another but at this point it clearly does add up. I wish it was a joke...it’s one thing to be misinformed, it’s another to say something so one-sided and snarky about a conflict so complex and painful for both sides while simultaneously admitting that they have no grasp of the actual conflict and it’s history. Maybe that’s overly sensitive maybe that’s taking something too personally, but it is what it is - if you stumble into such a sensitive topic and hurl thoughtless barbs on air, people might react strongly.

SE

I just laughed so loud and so suddenly at Kantbot's psychotic reply that I startled some people exiting their condominum. Edit: Now I'm lmao at Dasha overclocking upon the mention of breastfeeding around the 1h30 mark. I don't know whether that weaning theory is something you learn in therapy or something you go to therapy for, but thank you for drinking again

The bit about enviability and likability being incompatible had me nodding my head like a black lady in church. So spot on. I kept finding myself in that trap - and I’m just a private rando millenial sahm. But I felt trapped all the time on social media and eventually deleted it all together because I just felt like I couldn’t live. Anyway, sorry if that’s a little emo, but you got it so spot on Anna! God bless you and your baby boy.

Callous shiksa + morally tortured jewess who may or may not have a Zionist boyfriend. Love you ladies but you sound ignorant as fuck this episode.

Please please please get Norm on the pod!!!

Remember when we were in school and there was one fat kid? That’s the value of fat-shaming. “Disease” my ass.

Samantha J'Onze

On the breast feeding, yes it is good for all, but ladies keep it modest. Less is more.
