it’s late, and when you check the time, you hesitate, murmuring something about how you should probably head home, how you don’t have anything to sleep in. the excuse is soft, almost convincing, but the thought of you leaving doesn’t sit right with me—not when i can already imagine how perfect it would feel to wake up with you still here, wrapped in the warmth of the night we didn’t want to end. i tell you to stay, that you can borrow something, anything to keep you comfortable. but you only smile, your gaze drifting over me like you’ve already decided. because what you want to wear isn’t in my closet at all—it’s on me. and of course, you can have anything you want, even if it means taking the shirt off my back.
