we’ve been just relaxing around the house together all day long. nothing fancy, just being around each other, enjoying the other’s company. then i get the text around nine at night from work. the second i read the message, my heart drops. they want me on a plane tomorrow morning. i look to the corner of our bedroom at my suitcase, still packed from my last trip, and my heart breaks. i literally just got back home. the last thing i want to do is go. the last thing i possibly want to do right now is be away from you.
