i'm working in bed when you poke your head into the bedroom. you plop onto the mattress beside me, crawling into my lap, your head nesting between my arms and my laptop. you turn upwards to face me as i look down at you, between your pout and your expression i know something's wrong. you've been getting headaches off and on all week long, and i'm not sure if it's the weather or the stress but either way come here. close your eyes and rest your head for as long as it takes to go away. i hate that you don't feel good, hopefully between the water, the medication, and the company you'll start to feel better.
