You were getting too frisky with that Mall Santa Princess, you were clearly being a tease. Now that we are home I can make sure you learn never to do that again.

I know my leo in moon ass needs to talk out dark experience but I realize I want to talk about nice things too, so👉👈 The older I get the more I yearn for Christmas and it’s not like I’m doing much because I don’t. This year I got a little (literally) reminder why I loved Christmas as a child. Where I live, the holiday season doesn’t begin after Halloween nor as December starts but with St. Nicolas’ Day (let me tell you, english name of this day fucking sucks and I can’t deal with it, I renounce using this, because for me it’s more like ✨Santa’s day✨ and this is how I’m going to call it, I don’t care- thank you for attention) on December 6th. If I had to describe how heaven for kids looks like I’d describe this; it’s the day when you wake up with the feeling you’ll meet Santa one way or another. It can start with gift under your pillow or by bed from Santa (everything you get on this day it’s from the man himself), if it’s school day it’s all about it, you can- wait, you have to wear at least Santa hat all day (even I did this year too and it felt amazing) but when night comes you’ll meet ✨the man✨ himself. Either your father figure dresses up like one and brings you presents or you go out somewhere to see one. Like seriously, amount of men in full Santa Clause costume on the streets that day is hilariously beautiful. Also, people say we don’t smile a lot here and I guess it’s usually true (we save our smiles for good occasions lol) but on this day, really something changes and people seems to be more happier and nicer to each others. Last weekend after conference I attended and after all the champagne I drank I was just walking around waiting for my friend to come back from our hotel room upstairs. The main hallway was BEAUTIFUL, big pretty Christmas tree, warm light everywhere, decorated walls and big throne for Santa to sit on, on this day everything was prepared for it so the vibe was vibing. Until something ran into me; well someone because it was little girl dressed like a Christmas elf. She just looked lost and on the verge of crying. I swear to God I’ve never sobered up faster than in this moment. I calmed her down and asked questions to figured out how she had lost sight of her parents but once I informed reception about situation and they started trying to locate her parents of their own before they calling for police, I sat and talked with her a little. Her name was Asia (i know it looks like it but it’s different than continent) she was 5 and she got big puzzle and big brown bear from Santa this year but sadly she hadn’t seen him leave her gift in the morning at home so she came with her parents to see him in the hotel where her daddy often works. Asia was very cute and we had lovely conversation about her Christmas until (thank god) her parents came to get her. They were more scared than she was and damn, no surprise there but happily everything turned out well. Right now I feel like my little talk with Asia was a reminder why I’ve always loved Christmas. I don’t do much because I don’t feel like my space now is… idk, right for it but I love walking around the city to see all the decorations and lights, visiting local Christmas markets, every year I wait for snow on Christmas Eve to really feel vibe. Perhaps when I’ll have my own kids I become that crazy women who decorates every inch of home with cringe stuff like dwarfs (tbh I would, just to annoy kids a little and get reaction out of them but seriously, how people are able to live with them? dwarfs are scary af, like smoll clowns but holiday edition lol, the more I think about it the more terrifying they seem) and still, there’s still a kid like Asia inside me who loves Christmas. Every year she waited to go see Santa in local shopping mall, it never was about getting something but always about getting there, talking with Santa (because he was the real Santa and I don’t even consider any other possibility) taking a cute picture and… just having a happy moment which now I remember as very magical one. Many years as an adult of pushing away and not celebrating any of it, it’s my time to ughhhhh, finally admit to… I love Christmas. I wish to celebrate it and enjoy it more in the future. Andddd, I deserve champagne after admitting this, bye.
