As far as your thoughts about bakugo, this is the episode where you start to "understand" his mindset. He admires All Might but in the sense of his power and will to win. He believes if he is 2nd he is not up to the standards of All Might.

I understand what Mineta meant about being cool. He wanted to be cool and popular and thought that if he became a hero he would be. But meeting actual heroes and his other classmates with different personalities he realizes that "cool" people, people that already have a hero mindset to save others and sacrifice themselves for others, are the ones that become heroes, not the other way around. When I first watched I did like Bakugo at this point in the story. While he's very flawed what I liked was that he was never bigging himself up with anything that wasn't factual. He doesn't care about what people think of him and if people think he's the best, he wants to actually be the undisputable best. He has goals and takes the necessary steps and works hard towards them and is very disciplined for a 15 year old. I liked in this episode that while it seemed like he was just angrily fighting, everything that he was doing was to learn about All Might's strength and patterns of his movements and attacks so that he could come up with a strategy. He's a smart kid, just loud, aggressive, and harsh at times. I can definitely understand why people don't like him though.

Minera it’s definitely a GigaChad for saying his desires. I was telling a friend, that for us humans that got through bullying or rejection was really hard to go out of that shell we created and live on. So now Mineta has room to pursue his desire of being popular and having a girlfriend, while being truthfully a hero at heart, mind and body. And I really liked your comment about Bakugo too! Bakugo has some serious pride issues, he was so used to deku being the quirkless kid that followed him around marveling at him their whole lives and now he sees deku gaining experience and getting good at what he does, sometimes surpassing bakugo, he's super skilled and smart so he doesn't know how to work with other people especially deku. He wants to take charge but he also doesn't realize he has to voice his plans. He does get better, but he's still got attitude lol
