Ahhhh my childhood 🥹 I am super excited for you all for this beautiful journey ~ This show truly brings up so many worldly/heavy topics in gentle terms for kids, you learn so much about yourself & others, & really makes you think. Truly a life changing masterpiece 💛

Aww that's so sweet 🥹🫶 Our childhood shows are something special. We're excited to finally be watching ATLA with you all. 💛

This show was a big part of my childhood, excited to see how you guys find it Also, for YZ, who are your top 3 favourite characters?

Virgil Hawkins

Yeah I wouldn’t personally count avatar as an anime. The way I see it, a series is only an anime if it’s Japanese. But I do count anime as cartoons; I’d say all anime are cartoons but not all cartoons are anime That’s just the way I classify them

PokéMatt

Basically it depends on your native language. If you're a native Japanese speaker, anime is just a borrowed (and shortened) word for animation, and applies to pretty much any animated content. If you're not, then you generally mean it's animation originating from Japan, but there's a lot of nuance for people to argue over and people will never agree. It's kinda like how if you're a native Spanish speaker, salsa just means sauce, and applies to a wide variety of things, but non native speakers have a pretty clear image of a specific kind of sauce, and even might argue about what should or should not go into it.

Sokka, Iroh and Zuko for sure but that's excluding side characters, animals and spirits. I would go into detail about why but that would spoil things. What about yourself?

Haha yeah this is a dangerous question when trying to avoid spoilers.

Interesting picks, yeah that’s fair. For me, my top 3 includes 2 characters that haven’t been introduced yet, but the third has to be Iroh as well. You can’t not love that guy

Man this show is my childhood! (Other than pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, lol) I'm not sure if I'll embark on this journey with ya'all, but you're in for a treat!
