What is Youthful & Refine mod?

This face mod for Horizon Forbidden West offers a refined take on Aloy’s appearance, softening her features to evoke a more youthful and conventionally attractive look while preserving her iconic identity.

Superb job, subtle enough to make you wonder if you installed anything until you look at a screenie of the unmodded game 😆... and then you realise how pretty you made her without making her any less Aloy. Really great stuff, thank you!

The tattoo you put on the back of her neck is super ugly & breaks my immersion every time i go to aim. I love the mod but that tattoo is a dealbreaker for me. Is there a way to remove it?

Hi! I completely agree with you. During development, I was mostly testing the face with the default long hair, which happened to cover that area—so it slipped past me. Thanks for catching it! I’ll get it fixed shortly

Hi, your mods are great. But I'm a bit confused by this one. Using the mod manager, I tried to apply a face preset AND a makeup variant, but the face preset overrides the makeup every time. I was really hoping to use the slim face with a makeup selection. Do you know if it's something I'm doing incorrectly? But anyway, keep up the good work!

Yes, I'm using the latest mod manager version. I'm also using 'HC Aloy' body textures, nothing nude, just the texture and more skimpy armour. I think that may be causing the conflict.

Here are a couple of things to check: 1. Make sure my mod is kept in its original folder with the modinfo.json file in place. (In the Mod Manager, it should appear as "GL - Youthful & Refine - MakeUp Gen 2"). 2. If the step above is correct but the issue still persists, use the arrow-down button in Mod Manager to move "GL - Youthful & Refine - MakeUp Gen 2" to the very bottom of the list, so it will be loaded the last. If none of that works, let me know and we’ll look into the issue more thoroughly.
