SotS Quest Pack 02: The magic of SpellCo (Patreon)

Hi all!

In this second Quest Pack of the Stars of the Sea campaign we introduce the concept of Spell Cells: Small cylinders that are able to store an impressive amount of energy, like a battery. The players will be using these Spell Cells to power the amazing magic items they'll be able to earn during their adventure! To help keep track of their Spell Cells and their other items, we've made a new buildable box that can hold up to six buildable Spell Cells and a collection of item cards.

We also begin the story proper, as players travel to the SpellCo Factory to meet the brilliant inventor Marlon Wallace. She takes them on a tour through the magical factory and its other facilities, where players get a chance to get their hands on some of the fabulous Spell Cell-powered gadgets that are designed and made there.

This quest pack contains:

• An introduction to Spell Cells, and a set of rules for using them in your games.
• Two sheets of Spell-Cell Powered magic items and quirky gadgets.
• A 9-page tour of the Spellco factory, describing the initial meeting with Marlon Wallace, the introduction of Marlon's assistant Per Featherlane, and plenty of fun events to entertain adventurers.
• NPC card for a mechanical guard dog called a Cogdog, and game statistics for a self-driving SpellCo carriage.
• Paper Minis for Per Featherlane and the Cogdog.

Now that we have finished setting up some of the big pieces for the campaign, like the campaign map and the Spell Cells mechanic, we can really start to dive into the story. The next series of Quest Packs will detail the adventurers' holiday traveling through Silver Spires, and eventually, the Seasong Islands.
