The eating with the hands is so funny to me because I did it for 17 years while living in Nigeria. Never with rice, but with soup and fufu or pounded yam...imagine a pile mashed potatoes but thicker and drier than that. You scoop some up in your hand and dip it into the very spicy soup...okra soup, egusi soup, bitter leaf soup. They're all delicious and usually filled with beef, goat meat, fish, or chicken. So, it's just funny to see Jin and the guests feeling uncomfortable with these meals. Now that my kids and I are back home in Texas, we really miss Nigerian food so much! :)

Jin is so sweet, you can tell he didn't want to eat with his hands but when Kian mentioned it was Indian tradition, he didn't want to offend anyone so he didn't complain. Just the sweetest and he adapts to everything so well!! I find it really cool that it's such a culture shock though, I'm indian american and we eat curry and rice with our hands often. it's not strange to me but it's kinda strange seeing everyone's reactions calling it 'wrong' and gross to something that we consider normal lol. I think it's really important to remember that the world is so diverse and we should respect different traditions haha

LOL at your reactions to them eating with hands. It's actually how we, Malay, eat our local food (which is rice and protein). However, we NEVER use our right hand to touch dirty stuff and use the left hand instead. It's like right hand for good stuff, left for the not so good stuff (like cleaning dirt or something). So our right hand is safe for food (washing hands is a must before eating -- with spoon or hands). And there's technique when we use our hand for eating. We usually just use the 3 fingers (thumb, index and middle finger) but sometimes with all 5 fingers. However, we never scoop the food all the way to the palm. Kian's way made me cringe too. Haha. Can't wait to see more. Jin is amazing in this show. Many non ARMY fall for Jin in the show too. My bias guest is coming soon. lol. Thanks for watching this. I really appreciate your reaction to this show. I like your honesty. Remember that there are other cultures than your own, where people use their hands to eat (even the saucy foods). My grandmother was one of them. Just my opinion but you guys are pretty harsh on Kian, maybe it's the way you guys talk there, I don't know. My sister and I were bullied because of our race when we were young, so my heart tends to gravitate towards the weird and eccentric persons when I watch shows. Calling someone dumb or idiot because they don't act or think the way you do is a bit much. Seeing Jin act the opposite of what most people do, and accept Kian the way he is pulled at my heart strings. Suga and Jimin are my biases, but watching Jin in this made me fall heads over heels with him as a human being. I only wish I could be that generous in things I find hard to accept. As for the B&B, I honestly thought it would be perfect for kids in terms of fun. My 7 kids would have had a blast there when they were younger. I however would have gone crazy with worries. 😂 Fire hazards etc. I love that you're reacting to one of my favorite shows, thanks guys!

I am happy that Kian applied a lot of things he experienced in India to this B&B. I love them seeing eating with hands. I love to eat with my hands. As I grew up with it, I would not feel full eating with spoons. How the people outside see us Indians eating with our hands as weird, if you eat with a spoon among the family in India, people will also feel weird, like why is he eating the rice with food sometimes. I really wanted to tell you that it is not gross. I am sure that 1.4 billion people in the world eating in hand their every meal. I have also seen one of comments Phillipines also eats in hand.

In my culture we sometimes eat with our hands but definitely not when the dish is soupy or too wet. But watching Kian eating curry with his hands is kinda gross - I mean the colour of the dish and how he makes it into a wet messy ball before putting it in his mouth - it' s like he is eating poop. LMAO But it is a very good decision for Mr. Ha and the boys to sleep in the staffs lodging so that they can observe the kids overnight for effects of concussion like throwing up.

you guys cracked me up so much in this episode. From the geniune disgust of the toilet paper scene and the eating. The best reaction so far and there is still so much to happen in the next episodes. This was an amazing show for Jin to shine because although he is goofy and jokes around you can see how focused and dedicated he is to what he sets his mind to. Honestly this is one of the shows that made me realize what a pillar Jin is for his group as well. Always encouraging even when a person has doubts about what they want to do.

Eating with your clean hands is not gross. I don't understand the over-reaction here. You should learn to be more respectful of other cultures just because it's different to yours doesn't make it wrong or gross. The people who eat curry everyday in SE Asia eat with their hands and rice and curry comes from their region so if anything they are telling you that you're wrong and that is how you are supposed to eat the food.

lmao m Indian so we are used to eating with our hands but kian is soo stereotypical lmao. M not offended or anything,India is a big country with a very old culture so some things do become cultural. We dont eat with our hands all the time, m more used to spoons now and no one eats with hands outside but its good.Maybe becoz we have always done it? it doesnt feel different. I’m surprised for guys who live in Australia you guys are surprised and appalled by eating with hands. Haha. We are one the most multicultural countries in the world, so I expected a different reaction. I’m a Sri Lankan Australian, and eating with hands is so common here in Melbourne in South Asian and SEA communities. I’ve even seen people at restaurants eat with hands.

Malaysian here. Eating with hands is completely fine . Nearly half of the global population eat with their hands — rice, main dishes, side dishes, things with thick gravy etc. There’s a way to do it of course, and like Seb said, the way Kian does it just makes it look icky, which was probably on purpose for TV.
