Even among Koreans, soju is generally considered a pretty bad-tasting drink haha. It's a cheap, working-class kind of alcohol that gets you drunk quickly, and honestly, it tastes almost like rubbing alcohol. There are quite a lot of Koreans who can't stand drinking it either haha. Jimin likes soju, but he has said it's simply because he can just down it without thinking too much and get drunk. I'm Korean too, but I absolutely never drink soju 😂

Hey guys! I absolutely love your videos, and I really enjoyed this one too! You guys are so funny. 😂 I don’t usually comment on things like this, but regarding the idea of creating a new K-pop channel, I honestly think it’s a great idea! There are so many other K-pop groups out there that are really interesting and deserve to be discovered as well. However, I won’t lie, I am a little worried about how things might develop in the future. I’m sure there are other people who share the same concern. We’ve seen several reaction channels that originally started by reacting to BTS and eventually began exploring other K-pop groups, only to gradually stop reacting to BTS altogether. I can use myself as an example. I’ve been an ARMY since 2019, and through BTS, I also started getting into the K-pop world, discovering other groups and listening to music that I genuinely enjoy and appreciate. But BTS will always be at the top of my list. They’ll always be the group I’m most obsessed with (in a good way, haha). No matter how many other groups I discover or how much I enjoy their music, BTS will always have a special place in my heart. Because I genuinely think there’s something different about the connection BTS have with ARMYs compared to other groups and their fandoms. And I don’t mean to take anything away from other groups or their fans, of course! Every group has something special about them. But I do think there’s a reason why BTS have reached the level they have and why their bond with ARMY is so unique. Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts! I genuinely wish you guys the best with this new project, and I hope it all works out! ❤️

to be really honest with you guys, you are absolutely real armys, especially considering how much you love the music but, what you said ben about the memes and inside jokes, is something i highly recommend to kind of build that relationship with other armys, rather than bts! the memes (v i need ur help, jins only scandel, jungkook and princess diana) these all come from twitter! army twitter is highly highly active, we joke all the time on there and it is for sure where you'll get the most army interactions and recent bts updates. i met some of my greatest army friends on twitter, it's great for voting reminders and people are so funny on there! i really really recommend you at least scope army twitter out.

Perfectly said. I don’t mind another channel. I personally listen to other kpop groups, however I have seen the same thing happen on other channels. They originally reacted to BTS and slowly branched out to other groups and stopped reacting to BTS altogether. It’s sad to see and disappointing. Hopefully there will be a good balance

Loved this! I've only tried the Jinro plum as thats the only one I could find and I'm not a big alcohol drinker! Ha...I hope to try some other flavours soon! Also I'm looking forward to you doing a new channel exploring new K Pop groups to be honest..I was exactly the same, my fisrt encounter was SHINEE when I was a tennager and as I got into my 30s it was all BTS for months (the rabbit hole!) If you guys want to dress up for the concert I think you can dress in purple. Like maybe wearing a purple shirt or a bandana etc. Or maybe you guys can dress like a specific bts era you like. For example I need you is basically white shirt and jeans with a plaid shirt tied around there waist and maybe a backwards hat. Or black swan can be all black outfit. Idk there’s obviously no rules. You can wear anything that makes you comfortable. I think the easiest is just picking a theme if you guys want.

I felt the same at the concert in London. It was my first time seeing them live and when they ran out at the beginning, I felt so emotional and overwhelmed to see them perform. Can't wait to see your reaction to the sydeney concert! You'll get post-concert withdrawals like the rest of us 😆

I cannot drink straight Soju. My favorite is Peach Soju. You guys should try it with Yakult. It is so delicious. And I agree with someone here who said that you should be more active on Twitter if you want to be more up to date with BTS. But a warning - lots of drama there which you just have to learn to ignore.

From what I’ve seen armys wear some arirang inspired colors (red, black, white), the old bts jerseys from their debut era, inspire looks by one of the boys or just rock the concert merch. Concert outfit suggestions. #1 be comfortable. Heat stroke is never a good look. Check into personal cooling fans and be aware that none of them will run very long in their top cooling mode. Get them ahead and test them before you go. #2 There are dress shorts. JHope and RM frequently wear shorts, even in concert. #3 Don't be afraid to heavily distress, ie cut LOTS of holes in your concert wear. Maybe even in ARMY or BTS logo form. #4 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate... Water, not alcohol. (see #1) #5 Hats, Something with at least a little brim to give a bit of personal shade. Not a baseball cap that leaves your neck bare. So happy that y'all are going to get to see them! Stay safe!

just for some context, most koreans usually drink plain/original soju, but there are lots of different brands as well. just like how there are different levels of vodka (cheap stuff you drink in college, fancier stuff once you have money, etc). the one you have is in my opinion, one of the basic and common cheap options haha. its also really common to have it as so-maek (soju and beer, usually in a tall glass, a shot/2 of soju, then fill the rest with korean beer. ) its actually really good and that's coming from someone who doesnt like beer at all

I share your concerns. They did say that they will create a separate channel for the other K-pop groups so I am perfectly fine as long as their time on that channel does not take away from the time on this channel. I am here only for BTS. I subscribed to many reactors in the past who started with BTS then branched out to other K-pop groups then stopped reacting to BTS. And that’s when I stopped subscribing to them.

I said in the last video too, but you can see other groups 😄 and yah, in another channel will keep it clean for the Day 1’rs. I’ll try and support, but we’ll see 😉 I’m not anti either, I listen to other groups whenever they play on random … but you know how deep BTS lore and content goes, I can’t commit to that for other groups. I don’t have the time, or money that I know it’ll take. Finding new groups and going to shows was always so fun and it was awesome finding new music. Granted it was punk and emo music/shows so the cost was cheaper than K Pop but sentiment still applies. In the words of RM, “Do you.”

I would only feel okay with this IF THEY WOULD PUT MORE EFFORT ON THE ANIME CHANNEL. That channel was severely neglected the past months when we are paying more in there than here in the BTS channel. yeah Soju isn’t for me, i basically got a 3 day hangover from drinking a whole bottle 😭 (granted i was drinking other drinks before that but i had never had an issue until adding the soju). I did have the peach flavour unsure of which brand but i was drunk and remember tasting the smallest amount of peach and mostly tasting the alcohol over the peach flavour itself.

Uhm , not for me. I used to be a patron of another channel who started with BTS . I truly enjoyed their reactions as well so I subscribed. They got talked and convinced into reacting to other groups and lo and behold they hardly post anything about BTS anymore after that and the worst part is , they started comparing and at one point arguing who’s better . Needless to say I cancelled that subscription really fast. Triple Take has another channel (anime and Kdramas) , I don’t even know where they’ll be able to find time if they react to other kpop groups. One of the channels will surely suffer. I for one am just a casual listener of other kpop groups. I could never be a multistan (believe me , I tried - been giving kpop a chance since 2018 after I fell for BTS- I mean I was born and raised in an Asian country who started from looking down on kpop as a cringe anime wannabe copycat of jpop to becoming one of the biggest kpop FD country in the world. A niche genre seen only as “youth fad music”. But BTS dramatically expanded and solidified K-pop's dominance in my country , taking it from a youthful pop trend to an “inescapable cultural phenomenon”. Sure, like anywhere there still people that don’t like it . For me There are songs that I like here and there but not enough for me to fall down the rabbit hole of another group and invest time on them and their members as much as I do BTS. For me a lot of these groups are same old same old , same formula , sound and vibe EVERY comeback that when you see one you’ve seen them all. After giving kpop a chance because of BTS , I listened to BP as they were known as GG counterpart of BTS. As for BG , i even went to concerts of 3 diff BG (my friend is a multi ) but their music is not for me like i said , their vibe , style , music , sound is the same every comeback . So it gets repetitive and boring . Then again . To each their own. That is just my experience on my personal journey to Kpop ( not to mention most of my family’s and a lot of the people I know) .

M.R. the way I feel you... I had the same experiences, Kpop is not for me at all.. I tried after discovering BTS expecting a similar authentic and respectful craft but I was so disappointed, adding to that the way the industry and other fandoms treated BTS while they use their name til this day really was reluctant. Also multiple reactors started changing their attitude little by little when reacting to other Kpop knowing they built their following using ARMY, just to find out later they were contacted and paid by other labels, agencies or brands to make them talk dirty about BTS or stop reacting to them and praise other Kpop. Another point is concerning is the fact if you don't know perfectly BTS's history and quotes, they'll be easily gaslighted by other fandoms and multis into believing wrong things, just like what we're witnessing on social medias.. And honestly if I ever see them being silent towards any disrespectful things towards BTS, I'll unsuscribe .. I will never pay someone that tolerate that kind of things.

Yes! I agree with you. Really? Some reactors were contacted by other labels to talk dirty about BTS (or maybe hype other groups more)? I didn’t even know about that. That’s so low and pathetic . I do know that true colors of some of these reactors started showing after they changed they started becoming “multis” . Army’s who have become multis (not all of course ) but just basing on what I see and have encountered on social media when I see fans say “I’m an Army … but” or “I’m an ex Army and I found out they’re so overrated “… etc …it irks me so much that I get into arguments with those people. Not to mention Multi Armys who begs other Armys to vote for other groups because “BTS already won a lot of awards and others work hard and deserve the awards too”. Like what? Just bec BTS already had so many awards then they don’t deserve it anymore even if they also worked really hard as well? are awards a charity now? Being a multi for a western artist is different than being a multi for kpop . The competition culture in kpop is ridiculous. But that’s what the industry taught its fans . So for me I just listen to “catchy” kpop songs here and there but that’s the extent of my connection with Kpop . A big majority of Kpop to me is “Quantity over Quality” just by the amount of Albums some of these groups spew that really just sounds all repetitive . That’s why BTS is on a a league of their own separate from Kpop . I said what I said .

Yall, this was so much fun to watch and hear you guys casually talk about BTS and everyday things and explanations about the channel, all while getting tipsy. 😆 Great episode! I appreciated the flavor tasting. I’ve tried several flavors but forget which ones I’ve tried (Lol) and really don’t know which ones are my favs, so nice to see your ranking. Peach it is! Original is also a no for me. Also I’ve seen a lot of guys at the concerts I’ve been to, and they all wear different things, mainly t-shirts or jerseys, so don’t overthink it. Just be comfortable in whatever you decide. I also know you want to learn more about other groups, and I definitely appreciate your idea about starting a separate channel for that and leaving this one as your BTS channel. Nice set design Ben. It’s great you tried this many flavours, it’s just that there’s so many in general. The classic popular flavours are missing though, watermelon and grape! There’s also strawberry, I think I’ve seen blueberry, I’ve tried grapefruit and didn’t love it coz I don’t formally like grapefruit, but yogurt (yakult) is shockingly good and i also love lemon and mango lmao. Most Korean like original coz it’s like plain and simple and tough, not too sweet and fruity. You’d probably have a better chance of finding the biggest range at Danny M, BWS doesn’t stock much. Also the happy time (ktime) ones are known for being cheap and nasty.

Unfortunately it’s not sold in Australia yet. Only way they could get it would be to order online and hope it passes airport security (unlikely) or get it from a small specialty Korean food store where the owner has just gone over and brought back a suitcase full to sell (…totally legally…). That’s how Boreos were sold before they got actually released here and ARIH.

This is a fun video. Personally I’ve only tried Soon Hari and Hanjan Sojus . Loved the strawberry , apple, apple mango , Lychee ( can’t remember the other flavors I tried but so far I liked what i tried. ). I will try iGin next time because of Jin as he created it along with his chef friend . I have not tried any of the “Jinro” sojus yet either but I definitely will because of Tae as he is the Ambassador for it and also finding out that Jinro is actually the World’s bestselling Soju Brand . Your ranking for the Jinro flavor will surely help as to what I would try first

Hmm about how to get knowledge about memes.. a lot of doomscrolling + watch the videos the memes comes from😅 I’m army since 2023 so fairly new and I recognise the memes. A lot comes from run bts and Weverse live I think.. but also bangtanbomb maybe 😅😅 a little bit of everywhere 😬

For concert outfits, there are so many options - memes (use Twitter for examples), each concept/eras, matching their Arirang outfits. A LOT of people have been doing their debut outfits or costumes that BTS themselves have worn 😭😭 my fav ones are the funny ones but looking cool is always a good option.

It’s because a lot of us have seen it happen with other reactors .Only multis will enjoy that content and I for one will never be one. Don’t get me wrong. I tried to check out groups and comebacks since 2018, but my standard in Kpop is BTS and will stay that way as i find other groups lacking and repetitive. Never been into GG (although I kinda like BP) . Other BG - nah. Even went to concerts of 3 different BG who are also popular as my friend is a multi but i just found it cringe and trying hard. Although there are songs o find catchy here and there . I used to subscribe with other reactors as well on Patron . But they got talked into reacting to other Kpop groups by multis and it just went downhill after that . They hardly even react to BTS anymore and worse they started comparing and sometimes even started to criticize or throw bts under the bus in favor of another group . Needless to say I unsubscribed. Now, granted TTR plan to do their Kpop reaction on another channel , just wondering I guess what time they’ll have as they also have a 2nd channel for Kdrama and anime shows. One of the channels will bound to suffer and I’m afraid the quality of reaction won’t be the same . I guess we’ll have to see .

When they were in London it was 37 degrees and BTS were wearing fluffy hats. Koreans drink on average a bottle of soju a week, or 1-1.5 on a night out. Heavy drinkers drink 3 bottles in 1 sitting.
