Not gonna lie, I’ve been looking forward to Georgia diatribes again. They were the best.

Andrew talking super fast, I want this as a ring tone...

Oh man, I was raised Greek Orthodox and for the baptism segment I have enough context to make me an honorary Blankenagel

Guys, stay away from London! You'll be stabbed, moped-mugged, charged £5 for a coke, in Covent Garden & visited by the Donald. It will be raining and they do not like foreigners, even white ones (see also Brexit). Come to Andalucia. It will be less productive but much more enjoyable.

OMG. Eli's Bell Curve Rant™. So epic.

Haha. London is all foreigners. The indigenous population can't afford to stay in London. Muppet

Oof, this god awful music hurt a little. I'm ashamed to admit my former love of DC Talk. For a skinny white kid from Hastings, MI who grew up in a baptist church, they were almost life altering. I realize looking back that it was just because it was prepackaged marketing with zero edge, but it wasn't like anything else I listened to and I was allowed because, well, they sang about Jesus. In a weird way, they were my first bit of breaking free of the religiosity of my parents. All that said, holy fucking shit is that song awful. I rewatched the video after listening and I can't uncringe. Thanks for helping me laugh at my old self. Y'all are amazing. And I have to agree with with Oxford Comma above, please do a Carman song! Satan Bite The Dust would be a great choice as well as RIOT. Oh, one more note: Kevin Max became the lead singer of another christian band called Audio Adrenaline. I met him around 8 years ago when I was quoting some work on his house and every other word out of his mouth was fuck. I found that amusing

I grew up as an evangelical teen in the 90's and never once knew that the "D. C." in DC Talk stood for "decent christian". Mind blown

Also, Heath, re" the tattoo thing, what the fuck is "the back of your face"? Is she getting an internal tattoo?

Forgive my pedantry here. In regards to the Nu Thang review, Toby Mac is the black one. Kevin Smith and Michael Tait were the white ones. The band got together thanks to Liberty University. The band has been on "Hiatus" since 2000. Currently T-Mac has a solo rap career, Tait went solo and failed, and then replaced the former lead singer of Newsboys, and apparently Smith did his own thing too and no one gave a fuck. And yes, Nu Thang was the worst of their 5 studio albums.

Yeah, DC Talk was weird in that way (among other ways). Or at least, non-stereotypical. The pastiest white guy in the bunch was the dedicated rapper who stuck with rap in his solo career, and the other white guy taught the black guy how to sing (according to one album's liner notes).

The Deep State of Kelno'reem

I also have to over-pedant you on one other point: their self-titled first album was by far the worst. They were actually de-salvationed by Jesus himself over it, until "Free At Last" was released. A lot of people don't know that...

Kudos to Eli name dropping Arkham Horror!😁

I hope links are allowed. This is perfection. It captures USA-45's spirit perfectly.

"Lucinda", I wish your father's the best possible.
