It would be great to be able to open the created workflow in comfyui. I do not like hidden processes that do not let me see what is going on. I get that the idea is to make things easier but maybe don't completely obfuscate it into a blackbox.

then you don't know what is this then. Still assuming the good old way using that canvas UI.

I think it is not my cup of tea. Don't need another frontend gizmo that limits me. I want more advanced ideas that I can use OpenClaw to expand on. This is more something I would expect from AntiMatter Comfy Patreon with a $$$$ price tag. Thanks, but no. I hope this is not a new direction.

Then your mindset are pretty simple in thinking of a GitHub project the how and why. If you haven't realize seeing a GitHub project and how to integrate thing in openclaw or any other harness then. Honestly. Mostly GitHub open source project, do experiment and tech people reference it and see how things integrate or mix apart in the system. And nowadays because AI different industries of people going there with "wishful thinking".

And to be honest, even Comfyui official (not someone named their page with 'comfy' brand name and you try to advertise, oops) . Yes the official ComfyUI , they did MCP for this. Why ? this is not for everyone, which is true. But the shift not only for 1 individual are using it.

Innovate Futures @ Benji

For the wishful thinkers: It's not for everyone — I never claimed it was. But "blackbox" is a misread, so one correction for the record: the repo is MIT. Every "hidden process" you're worried about is plain code and plain JSON you can read. The workflow goes to YOUR ComfyUI in API format — the same format ComfyUI itself executes on /prompt — because graph JSON carries UI state and drifts with frontend updates, while API format is the stable contract. It's not a curtain, it's the part of ComfyUI that doesn't break. Want the graph anyway? Every node in that JSON is named and role-tagged in plain text, and community tools exist that mirror an API workflow onto the canvas. And nothing is "limiting" you: it's your ComfyUI, your models, your machine. Don't like the layer? Close the app and your ComfyUI is exactly how you left it. The only $$$ involved is what you paid for your GPU. The OpenClaw-style expansion you're wishing for is literally what the repo is for — most people star projects like this to see how the pieces fit and take ideas home. You're welcome to do both. If what you want is hand-tweaking a graph per run, then yeah, wrong tool — this one is for going story → finished film without touching the canvas. Thanks for trying it either way.

Hi Benjii, I'm a subscriber and I'd like to request access to the Discord too. I love this tool and I'm using it a lot! I noticed that v1.2.1 on GitHub describes new functions but right now it seems identical to v1.1.1.

Innovate Futures @ Benji

1.2.1 is easy to spot: the top nav has Agents and Playground. 1.1.1 does not have Agents at all. If you do not see Agents, the window that opened is still the old install. Download Calliope-1.2.1-win-x64.zip from the 1.2.1 release (not Source code), unzip to a new folder, and run win-unpacked\Calliope.exe from there.

Well so I did look at it closer and it is promising. I am looking forward to seeing it move forward. Calliope’s main advantage is that it turns complex ComfyUI graphs into reusable, approachable tools. In my setup it provides: A clean form with only the intended controls—prompt, duration, character images, scene plate, etc.—instead of exposing an 80-node workflow. Saved workflows and repeatable job execution through ComfyUI’s API. Central job history and organized input/output assets. Local Ollama integration for conversational prompt creation and workflow selection. A stable front end for running specialized tools such as your speaker-locked MiniMax H3 casting workflows. Separation between workflow engineering and everyday generation: we can improve the underlying ComfyUI graph without changing how you operate it. What it does not provide: Better image/video quality by itself. Faster generation. A replacement for ComfyUI—ComfyUI still performs all rendering. Perfect progress reporting; heavy model loading can leave Calliope apparently stuck at 95%. My view: its biggest value for you is “productizing” your best ComfyUI workflows. Once a graph is mature, Calliope makes it feel like a purpose-built application rather than something you must operate node by node. For experimental graph development, ordinary ComfyUI remains better. I am a OpenClaw Junkie and that changes how I Use Comfy considerably.

no more Windows version about Calliope Labs 1.2.1?

You are amazing, as always. We all taller when we stand on the shoulders of giants. Thank you Benji.
