Hey everyone.

New video is up. This one is about extending MiniMax H3 videos into long, continuous scenes in ComfyUI — instead of generating one 12-second clip and losing the thread, each new segment inherits the latent from the previous video, so the motion, the characters, and the whole environment keep running. I demo it with two characters in a forest walking, then fighting zombies, across multiple stitched segments with different camera angles. Audio stays consistent too, so it doesn't feel chopped between parts.

The extend node here was built by Kayte from our Patreon community, big thanks to her. The free two-segment workflow is attached to this post, and the paid version has the four-segment chain plus the latent upscale stage baked in.

MiniMax H3 Video Extend — Create Continuous Motion Long Length Video

This video shows how to create long-link, continuously-extended AI videos in ComfyUI using MiniMax H3. We build a multi-segment workflow where each new clip inherits the context latent from the previous generation, so motion, characters, and environments stay consistent across 2, 4, or more stitched segments — even with different camera angles and multiple shots inside each clip. Covers the ComfyUI-MiniMax-H3-Extend custom node, the reference-to-video + latent-chain wiring, audio reference for seamless sound across segments, megapixel resolution settings, and how to test the same extend pipeline inside Calliope, the open-source agentic video studio, using a "continue from previous video" toggle. ComfyUI users and AI video creators who already generate clips with MiniMax H3 (or Wan, LTX, Kling) but hit the wall of short, disconnected segments. Useful for filmmakers building story sequences, tutorial creators, and developers wiring video generation into agentic pipelines via ComfyUI API or MCP — anyone who cares about motion continuity and environment coherence instead of one-shot clips. Hey Benji, absolute interesting possibility to extend the clips by keeping the reference. Unfortunately I can't get it running, because of a bug with the attribute '_encode_ref_audio'. The workflow stops in the first extension. Do you have any advice how to get around? Thanks in advance. # ComfyUI Error Report ## Error Details - **Node ID:** 66 - **Node Type:** MiniMaxH3VideoExtendPatched - **Exception Type:** AttributeError - **Exception Message:** AttributeError: type object 'MiniMaxH3ReferenceToVideo' has no attribute '_encode_ref_audio'

Hi Jürgen, you can edit .../ComfyUI/custom_nodes/minimax-h3-extend/nodes.py This is the diff of my new nodes.py with the ORIGINAL nodes.py: 85c85 < encode_ref_audio = native._encode_ref_audio --- > encode_ref_audio = native.MiniMaxH3ReferenceToVideo._encode_ref_audio 341c341 < } \ No newline at end of file --- > }

Thank you, Stefan, with the original node I got it running. But nevertheless, thanks for the information. Keep up your professional work, we really appreciate your effort. 👍
