New video is up, and this one is for anyone who's been frustrated with blurry faces in MiniMax H3 video.
The problem is real: when a character is at mid or far distance, H3 renders the face blurry or plasticky, no matter what resolution you set. This video covers a custom node called ComfyUI-H3-FaceRefine that fixes it. It detects the face on every frame, crops it, runs it through H3 again at full detail, and stitches it back into the original video.
I tested it with three different examples: a mid-range shot, a far-to-close-up transition, and a full-body person detection pass. The improvement on skin texture alone is worth it, especially on those last-second close-ups where the plasticky AI look was most obvious.
