I'm finally brave enough to try this stuff, and it's kind of awesome but so much slower than I realized it would be. The curing time on it is crazy, which makes the work time on it crazy too, so that's fun. I have to hold on to these for so long before I can sell them, since they need to cure then get a varnish coat and then /that/ needs to cure before I can mail them, but it's so fun, and makes me feel like a 'real' artist to be working in oils. These two are done on wood panels, and are 8X10 inches each. Something I was not expecting while working with oils was the scent. My dad was a luthier, and in the process of making the instruments, he'd have to stain the wood, and the scent put me back in his workshop. It was a crazy feeling to suddenly just be mentally /with/ my dad again. He died in 2016, but for a split second the whole decade was wiped away. The fox piece is already sold, but I plan on selling the pin-up of Lindsey on the phone once everything's cured enough that I think I can pack it up, and I do plan on doing more of these! The last pic is not oil, it's india ink and watercolor of baby Cringer (Battle Cat) from Masters of the Universe. I just did it for myself for fun, and liked how it turned out! I may change how I do watercolors going forward thanks to this piece. (Also I loved the movie, go watch it!)Thank you all for all your support and stopping by to look! The sale's going to be tonight, barring disaster. Hope to see you there!

Its always cool to see you experiment with new mediums, is working with oil paint any more difficult than working with acrylic? Also its nice to see a sfw piece from you again, its been a really long time since you last did one.
