crazy how when this song came out i was going through the most massive case of hypochondria ever. There was a tiny little harmless mole that started growing on my face but due to my anxiety became absolutely convinced I had cancer and was past the point of no return. As I waited for a procedure to get it removed my life became bleak and fleeting and I hurried all of the projects I was working on to finish them before i died. i cherished the moments with my friends and family more as i became increasingly convinced I'd never see them again. I know it sounds ridiculous but it became so real to me. This song was a sign to me that "the blood was in my mind." The second I got the results back from the hospital that it was totally benign, the lyrics "I'm so glad it didn't really happen" echoed in my head. It's so weird how some of jacks oddly specific music aligns so perfectly with what's going on in my life.
