- Not all humans can sing and not all succubi have wings.. Winged succubi tend to be even more flakey and unreliable than their ground-strutting sisters.. So, about 3,000 years ago, when First Centurion Lithlydia decided to create a Flight Wing for her Cohort, she sought out her old friend Avarlia to lead it..

- Not even Lithlydia knows how old Avarlia might be.. All Lithlydia knows is that when she first came "topside" Avarlia was already living in the high treetops of the wooded foothills overlooking the Ancient Sumerian City of Uruk.. The two of them ended up working together, exploring and sharing what they learned about this newfangled human phenomenon of a 'city'..  - Winged succubi tend to have draconic, or bat, bird  or insect traits entwined into their magical bodies.. Their wings are not so much aerodynamic, as they are active mana channels for magical flight..

- Draconic-trait succubi like Avarlia tend to be the most magically powerful, mentally focused and inherently dominant of all the winged succubi.. Avarlia in particular has ample mana reserves in her voluptuous body, enabling swift and powerful flight, and the inherent ability to make herself, (or just her wings) effortlessly invisible to mortals..

- All told: Avarlia's aura & charisma irresistibly  commands the attention of even of the most air-headed or feather-brained succubus.. Which is why Lithlydia called on Avarlia to lead and discipline the unruly flappers of what eventually became the Sly Cohort's Winged Century..  Altho' reluctant at first, Avarlia was persuaded by Lithlydia's offer of first pass at the well fattened men pampered to enormity by the succubi of the Red Devil Inn..
