turns out dropbox links have a download link

also turns out that patreon file uploads have an annoying 200mb per upload limit

so i had to split the pdf for a direct upload so... here we go again XD  2 pdfs this time in the actual attachments, enjoy and sorry for the glitches on the last attempt :)

In case you want to upload the comic as a single pdf while keeping within the file limit it would be possible to use an app like 7-zip to save the pdf as an archive split in multiple files. People can then download the parts, put them in the same folder next to each other and unpack the single large pdf :)

it won't drop it to a filesize small enough for patreon. this is the best we get until they actually increase the filesize. and i refuse to drop the quality of the pages. i had enough of that with my old bad internet out of necessity

Zoltanina

Did you actually wrestle with this for a full day?

Antonio LB

Your art is some of the best stuff out there these days. Well done!

shiniebezial

no, but i woke up to a lot of people telling me that links are producing 404 errors and then saw a dropbox email about the limits so i had to figure it out

Paul Howard

Doh. Missed the convenience of grabbing while it was still on Dropbox. Normally for that sort of thing I do the "save my my dropbox" option as I have a paid account. Means I don't use (in theory) someone's download limit to get it.

Great stuff thx a lot :)

In the future, you might dodge this problem using Rar or Zip file split files. That would give you multiple 200 MB files you could upload, but when extracted they would form into a single, larger PDF.

Mmm. I hadn't seen that last bit. Worth losing half a day of work on.

Still love this comic! thanks for making it and giving me a new obsession! xD

I'm liking Death Vigil so far, best dollar I ever spent on Patreon.

I have the older files, but a complete set like this is fantastic and so thoughtful! Thank you so much!

I just caught up with this story! I'm loving this take on cosmic horror; it feels fresh and different, and there are lots of layers of mystery yet to untangle. The characters are all great, too, with complex and conflicting motivations, though Mia is far and away my favorite. I can't wait for the next chapter!
