She was waiting to hear back from Hermis on who it was, so she was probably in waiting mode. Now that she knows it's Lauren she's back to go mode. And yes, the original reaction was to her daughter awarding another golden contract - she's afraid of what is going to happen to her should it go bad.

Thanks for the update ! I was wondering : cubis are able to use their god magic to hide their true forms from mortals, but how do they see each others ? Do they apply a layer of glamour for the gods they don't want to reveal their true self to ? And, do they have a favorite form they keep for their "loved" ones ?

glamour is like clothes for them. in a literal way. there's a glamour layer of clothes visible only to other gods and humans with enough insight, and then there is another coating for well balanced people who can't see them for who they are. they can change their looks but other gods will recognize them. they do have a preferred look which is the one they present most often. same goes for their gender. while they can change their sex at will, a useful trait for their job, their personality remains unchanged.

(First comment ever) Loving everything so far! One question, though. Seeing as how Linda's Punderworld characters are canon here and all... what happened to that comic? I used to follow it on Deviantart and LOVED it, but it's gone MIA. Perhaps this has been addressed before, or somewhere else, so sorry in advance if that's the case.
