Based on your early sketches, I expected the relationship between Leilah and Heureca to be more adversarial. Still romance, but with more sparks flying whenever they met. I'm glad you're not leaning too far into that. The way it is, I can better sense the emotional ties between them.

I will be sorry you will be taking a break from this book and Sunstone, but yes, updates for Death Vigil and Achilles Shieldmaidens are long overdue. It's a testament to your storytelling (I love even Bauphette! And Vain!) and art that I can't pick a favorite and am somewhat mollified at least two books (plus Queen and the Woodborn and Letters to the Vampire Queen I hope) will continue development. As always, more power.
