disclaimer. this is just for testing purposes. if you are wiling to test print this  have at it. let me know how it goes. i have no experience with printing and am still in the process of learning stuffobject file has been decimated, features 4 different head sculpts and is split to pieces and keyed for easy painting and assembly.... in theory. best of luck to all of you willing to try it out, let me know how it goes. since it's a test print i'm dropping it in the lowest tier for maximum accessibility, and once again, i can't guarantee that it will work properly, i took all precautions that i could, now is the moment of truth. file is in the downloadable attachment. best of luck!-edit! added stl with exploded subobjects as i don't know how this works with printing software. the sculpt is already sliced and keyed and only needs supports and draining holes

Weekend plans sorted!

Adrian Villa

Nice plans for the new 3d printer!

Paul S

A good test print in the new printer this weekend

Benjamin Allred

Awesome! Gonna try and get things set up this afternoon to start a test print! I'm so excited!

kinglonewolf

only had 1 piece, looks to be the strap I'm guessing?

David Fabijan

I believe you didn't upload quite all of it.

miniMeissner

Well shit, there's a reason for me to finally set up my printer

Ashlyn

Can you reupload? I'm only seeing a small curved piece when I loaded it in

JR Hur

yeah, only one strap near her thigh is in the file. is this what you intended?

Bornz0r

Hey Stjepan, I just loaded it into Chitubox to slice it before exporting it to print and assuming I print Lisa there is no possible way for me to mount the alternative heads as the bust is all in one piece. Detail tho is insane, wow.

Yukari

Oh wow, seems I need to set up my printer again in the next few days :D

In 3D printing, a basic distinction is made between SLA and FDM printers. Detailed and small figures are best printed with SLA printers, large ones with FDM. The belt around the hips poses a problem here. The hair will cause further problems. The result will not be very good with normal FDM printers. Too bad, unfortunately I don't own an SLA printer. But still a great figure!

I have been waiting a long while to Print something of yours. Thank you for that chance. my printing uses a melt able WAx support around a dense 8 micron layer height and 22micron xy voxels. Wont need any clean up. after a quick melt at 100 degrees. but jesus christ thats alot of inverted normals, bad egdes, and way too many shells. imma get this down to a water tight model.and hopefully have results in 5 hours.

Thanks for the files, Stjepan! I’ll try slicing the exploded file and printing it on my FDM. Even though a resin printer would be better suited for the job, I have some success in priting figurines with FDM.

Looks good. What file units are you working in as they came in super small, ended up scaling it up like 25x Am going to try as one piece in resin, should be about 15cm tall. Fully expect the hair strands to snap off this way but is fine for testing. Generally best way is to export each part as a separate obj and throw them in a zip file for people so they can easily grab individual pieces. Decimation isn't super necessary either, smaller file sizes are nice and all but it will start to show up on larger resin prints. Again is fine for now testing but your finals you may want to keep high poly.

kinglonewolf

good start, definitely needs a higher polly count for finer details for resin, but it's a good start. Also separate files for each piece after cutting is easier than bunching all the cuts into a single file as not many people know how to separate them.

Hi! I see you wrote "since it's a test print i'm dropping it in the lowest tier for maximum accessibility," Does it mean that you have dropped or plan to drop more STLs at a higher tier? If that is the case which one would it be? I'm interested :)

Neraced

Woohoo, that's just amazing! Time to dust off my printer :-) Thank you ever so much for continuing to make great stuff!

Tero Säärelä

I managed to slice the complete bust to something that’ll hopefully print nicely in my FDM printer. Wish me luck!

Tero Säärelä

Done with the print. Came out better than I dared to hope for, as I was printing with an FDM printer. Naturally nowhere near what you can achieve with a resin printer. The removal of the supports was a chore but I am very happy with the end result. Thanks, Stjepan!

So, I fired up my FDM printer this week and printed just the head with the ring gag, at 300%. The result looks very good. However, painting is extremely difficult for me, even at this resolution. Printer: Sovol SV06+, filament eSun PLA+ beige, resolution 0.12 mm, tree support. I'm not sure yet whether I'll print the whole figure. I'd actually prefer to print just the head in 1/6 scale, to match Phiecen's action figure body. All that's missing is Ally. :)
