Main Story (3) からの続きです。

完全にゴブリンのテリトリーに単独潜入してしまった千夜は、必死で走っていた。 Chiyo had unknowingly wandered deep into goblin territory, and now she was running for her life.

「どこか……出口……！」 “There has to be… an exit…!”

息を切らし、暗くぬかるんだ通路を駆ける。滑りやすい地面に足を取られながらも、振り返る余裕などなかった。 She dashed through the dark, muddy corridor, gasping for air. The slippery ground tried to pull her down, but she didn’t have the luxury to look back.

背後からは、小さな足音がどんどん迫ってくる。 Behind her, the patter of small footsteps grew closer and closer.

涙がにじむ目を必死でこらえながら、千夜は闇の中を進んだ。 Holding back the tears welling in her eyes, Chiyo pressed forward into the darkness.

――がんっ！ —Clang!

「っ……いった……」 “Ugh… ow…”

何かに足をぶつけて転倒する。床に散らばった何かの骨が、乾いた音を立てた。 She tripped over something and fell. Scattered bones on the floor clattered beneath her.

暗闇の奥から、ごぽっ……ぐちゃっ……といやな音が近づいてくる。 From the depths of the darkness came a squelching, grotesque sound that drew closer.

千夜はすぐに立ち上がれなかった。足が震えて、体が冷えきっていた。 Chiyo couldn’t stand. Her legs trembled, her body frozen with fear.

（動けない……やばい……ほんとに……） (I can’t move… This is bad… Really bad…)

しわがれた声が洞窟に響いた。背筋が凍りつくような気配。 A raspy voice echoed through the cave. A chill ran down her spine.

「ひっ……来ないでっ……！」 “N-No… Don’t come any closer!”

とっさに拾った棒を構える。震える手は、まるで紙のように頼りない。 She grabbed a nearby stick and held it up, but her shaking hands felt as fragile as paper.

こうして千夜は、逃げ場のないまま、湿った暗がりで、恐怖のあまり気を失ってしまった・・・

And so, with no escape in sight, in the damp and suffocating darkness, Chiyo lost consciousness from sheer terror…
