Today's poll just got hidden. I have a couple of guesses on which prompt or prompts might have been the cause, but it doesn't matter. I'm done trying to examine each submitted prompt and guess at whether or not it might set something off, whether at the poll stage or when the winner gets written. This is the end of patron-submitted prompt polls. I will work some kind of poll with user-submitted nominations in later this month so the patrons at those levels at least get something out of that, but I'll probably need to overhaul my structure starting in May. For April, we'll do one poll later in the month, with nominators putting forward either a character or pairing, and I'll write a second chapter of Guiding Harry in place of what would have been the HP/PJO poll winner.

Put the poll on Discord?

Aw man… That sucks What is the plan now?

And can’t you just post the poll on another website and post a link to it on here? And then just post the winner on your Archive of our Own profile?

-No. Anyone who had access to the link could vote that way, making it far too easy for someone to rig the results, theoretically. And even sites/apps that have Patreon integration, such as Discord, aren't reliable. For example, I'm on another person's Discord server, and just the other day, someone who was posting in one of their channels set up to only be accessible to active patrons at a certain level said that they hadn't been a backer of that person's Patreon for several months. -Posting patron-backed stories directly to AO3 or anywhere else as soon as they're written would remove the biggest reason for people to sign up here. I tried it that way when I first created this page, thinking that nominating for and voting in the polls would be the incentive, and people could then just read the stories elsewhere. It didn't work.

Is there any way we could till get the prompts or do should we just commission them now?
