Oh, I get it. Both Vaporeons were using their song-songy voice, unwittingly and further hypnotizing Leafeon. By the time they reach an agreement in their argument, his mind is well and truly melted from the combating songs, just like Vaporeon Jr. threatened right before he confessed his feelings.
