'You decide to use your suit's ability.  It neutralizes your assailant.  However, your own protection was compromised by the wetness of your suit, causing you to be knocked out as well. Some number of minutes of pass before another being comes.  You're unable to wake up in time.'

I fucking knew it!

Ryan Drakel

Sunnova cussing cuss worrrrd!

CosmicNeko

Alright, valuable lesson learned :) good note to take forward

Romanov Sharansky

Some lovely two-party boogie action~ I loveee how huge that tail is, looks so incredibly comfortable to be just surrounded by it. And the puddle being "reabsorbed" back~ Nicely done Ozone

Indigo

Welp. We wanted to be nice and not just sacrifice her to the boogies, but at least by pushing her into the water, we'll get her our of our hair for the rest of the adventure.

Akutheavali

Makes sense she'd knock out cause of being wet~ tho would've probably been worse to throw her in wouldn't it

No1isHere

A very fitting punishment for ignoring basic laws of physics I do say!

Dreeming Royalty

Just what I was hoping for! Glad we’re another step closer to joining <3

Sapphire Crook

Knew her partial boogification meant her weakness to shoving was still in effect. :o

Osha

Figured the water would have been a problem.

ThatOneFennec

Glad I was wrong, assumed this course would 'save' us >3

Chrystal Mori

Unfortunate! But I have to say the end result was perfect. Those Boogie slug-like ones are my favorite~

Dotzrus

Damn, why don't we get a cool boogie form this time? XD

MrToastsandwich

*Sigh* Unfortunate but not unexpected. Well, at least now we've learned that our suit isn't perfect as far as electricity is concerned.

AverageFanEnjoyer

*Sigh* I've already gone apeshit on the Telegram and now FurAffinity over this mere moments before this part dropped, but I'll copy/paste what I said on FurAffinity again for y'all. I feel as though we've been cheated out of a life by exceptionally poor wording and not being told all of the needed information to make an informed decision. Yes, the suit wasn't as shock-resistant as I'd hoped, but even then, how were we supposed to know? Yes, shocking while wet is generally ill-advised, but the alternative of pushing Waltuh in was just as poor a choice. Ozone mentioned far, far after the voting period on the Telegram that Cassandra had only been choked by the facehugger for 10, if even 5 seconds. This was not relayed to us, and he merely hid behind the excuse of "well, nobody asked me!" This is not how you give information. Ideally, questions outside the adventure should be kept to a minimum, and certainly a question pertaining to a vital part of the discussion process (i.e. Whether Cassandra was too oxygen-deprived to have enough strength to shove Waltuh) should not have to be asked in this manner! Moreover, a major complaint I had on the Telegram was how the captions intentionally misled us to believe the situation with Cassandra's breathing was more dire than it truly was. Recall from Part 47 this quote: 'You decide to swim under the surface. You cross quickly and make it to the other side. However, a sensation you first brushed aside as dripping water turned out to be something else entirely. 'Before you can react it binds to your face, blinding you and covering your mouth and nose, preventing you from breathing.' This quote implies, along with Cassandra's distance from the water's edge, that she'd been taken by surprise before she could get a good breath for holding in, and thus would likely begin passing out from the Oxygen deprivation. Moreover, in general, boogies tend to have that so-woefully-hated mental dampening effect, and while the Facehugger specifically did not have this effect initially, who's to say it happens immediately? Whenever Cassandra's been Booby'd before, she was usually lucid enough for a few seconds to attempt pulling it off. There has literally been zero precedent for this scenario with the Facehuggers. Not in the Renamon drawing, not in Snowed In, nowhere. That's my main problem with this: lack of precedent and consistency. I understand Ozone wishes for us to not become over-reliant on the Spark Suit, but you'd imagine that the guy who gave us the upgrade to begin with would also make places that wouldn't intentionally mislead us into shocking in the absence of better choices. The two-choice system also doesn't help this. The only options we could have chosen were violence, and one was clearly less likely to work on Waltuh (shoving) given the information we were actually given. I feel like this could have been avoided had we better information on our situation, better control over our choices, or ideally both. ...Well, nothing we can do about it now. At least I finally got a good look at Waltuh for the first time in this adventure. A shame we'll inevitably ditch her again after the adventure continues where we lost a life. I truly am the only one sympathetic to her plight judging from the interactions with her on here, it seems.

Sapphire Crook

"sympathetic to her plight judging from the interactions with her on here" Mind elaborating, I'm interested!

Drone Raccoon

oh no, what a terrible fate! >3c

Alicia McDuffie

Two lives to go~ And then we are permanently one with the superior beings~

MrToastsandwich

In all seriousness, Ozone. Do you honestly think we have a chance of winning this at this point? I don’t mean to sound like a downer - I genuinely want to know how you feel about all this.

ozoneserpent

You're right, I think I'll do a small update on Cassandra's vision of failure. Please hold.

Dotzrus

Truly a Saint

waynebraintrain

Well now that we've seen this game over, I kinda wish we got it on the last part instead. Ah, well. Sucks that we lost a life here, here's hoping it doesn't end up screwing us up in the end. Hopefully we can still save Leah somehow.

Greed23

Let's work together to make sure that happens! All these silly people wanting us to stay having free will.

Gabeny

You can just, talk to me, ya'know?

GreenScale Mansion Fund

No regretttttts! An attempt was made! though now I can only see more anger happening going forward, but we'll have to seee!

ozoneserpent

A ray of hope could still break in these clouds.

Dotzrus

Fantastic fishy form!

Sapphire Crook

Honestly at this point the Boogies feel less like a world conquering force and more like some janitor templates people forgot existed.

PyroJack24

Uh, no? I wanna help her get off the ship, too. It's not Cass's fault Jingle was an ass and abandoned her, making her distrust our vixen.

PyroJack24

I warned you... I warned you, but did anybody listen that you *never* use electricity when wet? Nope. There's a reason I asked about Cass's head. And before anyone brings up the button from the first Booby, I remind you that was Cass's *default* suit, not the Spark Suit. And Ozone only said the voltage made her *body* tingle from the rush of voltage; not her HEAD. The voltage flowed through the suit into the Booby, as it was reaching for her head, and contacting the suit directly. We have three lives left. Two more screw ups, and then it's Game Over. Can we please stop seeing the Spark Suit as some sudden super power that makes Cassandra invincible when she has a charge? That's the kind of false illusion of power that gets countless horror movie characters killed.

MrToastsandwich

We still have two lives. I did say that I wasn't giving up and I meant it. Even if I’m not as optimistic anymore, I do feel like we owe you to try our best until the end.

Gabeny

You agents are all the same. You’ve yet to prove me wrong.

Gabeny

Just saying… Fucking gotcha again…

Vusvox

Oh. Well. Okay, this is fine. Just keep pushing on. (nice forms)

MrToastsandwich

Roleplaying aside, Gabeny. Did you know what the results were gonna be beforehand? Do you and Ozone discuss things behind the curtains whenever your OC is involved?

atomichagfish

oh snap that's intriguing. if they worked a little different I'd wonder about the possibility of a 2 character fusion thing (not entirely ruling that out though, I mean it IS science/magic beyond our understanding so why not go a little crazy with it? lol)

ozoneserpent

As my adventure editor, yes he knows what's going to happen immediately in advance.

Gabeny

Yeah I did, I’ve got quite a bit of foresight into things as Ozone’s editor. So yeah, she (I) does know what goes on at least one part ahead.

MrToastsandwich

Huh, no wonder he’s so confident whenever Leah is involved. He's got an unfair advantage.

AverageFanEnjoyer

Rest assured, I had your best interests in mind. Just a shame that the options did not likewise favor your wellbeing

Gabeny

*She’s.* And yeah, I play my part well. Knowing how things play out in the immediate future is what let’s me play my fun in character part. And yes, AFE, you give me hope not all Agent’s are willing to leave me behind.

MrToastsandwich

I see. Was it a personal request to add your own OC to the adventure? I'm just curious.

Gabeny

Somewhat? Sorta? Not really? I offered to help Ozone as an editor and writer, as I myself take writing commissions and want to get my name out there a bit. When I was sharing some of my art with Ozone, I showed him Leah and he said ‘Oh hey there’s the fake agent.’ One thing led to another, and here we are

ozoneserpent

Yes, his OC looked similar to what I had in mind for the imposter agent role (an all white wolf), so since he is my one and only adventure editor we put his character in a star supporting role.

MrToastsandwich

That is SO COOL! As much as I roleplay having a hatred for her in this adventure, it really is awesome that Ozone would do that for you. I for one know how special ones OC can be for someone. Maybe we can see more people's OCs in future adventures. :3

Gabeny

Leah is very special to me, so getting her drawn in such a fun setting is really enjoyable for me. I play the part of an angry agent-hating rouge quite well, but it’s (mostly) an act, truth be told I’m just the editor, and a writer who’s getting her name out there.

MrToastsandwich

I get that. Roleplaying is in all good fun after all. I do hope I haven’t said anything that could be seen as hurtful towards her.

Gabeny

Oh hardly lol, it’s all fun and games for the most part. Except of course AFE, his rivalry and mine goes deeper than just Roleplay.

AverageFanEnjoyer

You wanna know what I meant, Sapphire? Just look at the goddamn replies to the shit when people were commenting on how Waltuh returned. I was literally the only person to not get eaten alive as filthy deserters and self-centered asshats.

Gabeny

Because he took my sandwich.

Inquisitor Kobold

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Free will is overrated!

Xenomata

I legit cannot tell if people are actually trying to complete the adventure or are TRYING to get the boogie endings... No not just from the results of polls, but also from comments.

2026-09-07 19:00 Welp, game over l once again. On the other hand, getting horny over fish drone Cassandra.
2023-01-28 00:41

ozoneserpent

I'll reveal this little tidbit. Coming back for Jingle when she was being assimilated by the floor would have resulted in a fused form. And there is in fact a reason that didn't happen here.

MrToastsandwich

I can assure you that at least some of us are trying. Not many apparently but some of us.

BivPlays

It was a 50/50. Purified water void of contaminants doesn't conduct electricity, among other things

ozoneserpent

Hopefully horny within reason. We have a mission.

AverageFanEnjoyer

I don’t leave sandwiches for kids who hide out of my sight. For all I knew, the extra one was for me.

American Otter

I totally forgot about the water problem. I am so sorry for my fumble. I am sorry

MrToastsandwich

Duuuude. If you see a sandwich that isn't yours, you can’t just take it. There are some things in this world that you just don’t do and this is one of them. Trust me, it’s in my name, I know.

AverageFanEnjoyer

Oh, but I can. There’s no rules for me! I’m just a displaced intern! And who the hell would eat a slice of toast between two untoasted bread slices? A toast sandwich sounds awful!

Eevening

How unfortunate c:

Erise

I knew this was gonna happen, oh well might as tell the boogies everything while we're here

DC_OZ

You know, had we waded instead of dunked our head in we'd probably been fine.

Grimdarkguardian

I made the calculations only to realize im bad at math

KaleShibata

Yea im not sure why we all forgot we got out of the water exactly a handful of seconds ago and would still be very much covered in water...

Ryan Drakel

Crap I genuinely did not expect the electrical current to be strong enough to do such a thing. And amplified by water, ugh I was an idiot! I should've considered the overall voltage!

pl4gu3r47

i sayd so. but to be fair, it's been a while we had an game over

pl4gu3r47

weird thouht, could a boogie merge two hosts into a bigger, single boogie-drone?

ozoneserpent

hmmmm don't you want to be surprised. Well, it can possibly happen, but it seems the collective is going out of its way not to assimilate our friend.

Tabithecat

Oh no! Anyways... the mergirl form is adorable and I stand by the idea that Leah is far more important than a mere secondary character, seeing as the hunter boogie literally remade her "suit" instead of making her into just another drone like Cass despite the fact the intruder had already been caught. Hence, if we shove her in the water I think we shouldn't leave her behind again.

Mori

Can we get the bad ends grouped together somehow or somewhere

ozoneserpent

I was planning on making a table of contents for the adventure once it was over. Though come to think of it, maybe I should make it now.

WoChiFo

Oh no, what a twist, how shocking that the rules of physicality has fought against us, oh no~ Guess we are swimming with the fishes now~, better get ahold on that big fish and be its little fish ;3

pl4gu3r47

just a bit curious about boogie abilitys.
