'Jingle decides to remain hidden.  Jingle sets up camp and roasts a marshmallow she had been carrying.  She is confident the being will race by without incident or give her a better chance to shoot or escape.

Unfortunately, the being uses one of its arm to break and perform a hairpin turn.  Jingle gets in one shot but it is also absorbed.  The being pins Jingle to the wall and immediately spreads his mass over her.

As her consciousness fades Jingle could feel her balance being shifted forward.  She plants her hands to the ground and takes a position that feels more natural.'

You lost a life.  Two lives remain.

You know, I suspected that just sitting and waiting for it to pass wasn't the solution.

What the

ChypreDust

Where did she get all of that from????

MrToastsandwich

Yeah, I had a feeling we made the wrong choice. Damn it…

MrToastsandwich

We really can't do timing events, can we?

ozoneserpent

From the supply closet on the opposite alcove wall.

Mandalorian Manray

you guys notice how he has wheels on his feet and what seem to be capacitors on his back? My plan is that we “overcharge” him so that he zooms right past us, hopefully giving us enough time to get to the end of the hallway, or take him out for good

Mandalorian Manray

Also I have no idea why people just kinda let this happen lmao the objective was kinda obvious

VirtualVoid

Oh no the anti camping system caught us *what a big surprise*

Ryan Drakel

Too many people hoped that the Boogie didn't know where Jingle was and would shoot by but, nope...

MrToastsandwich

Smart thinking isn’t exactly our strong point.

MrToastsandwich

I went with a more ”shoot it at the very last second” kind of logic. But yeah, I knew this was a bad idea.

Arianna Altomare

You see, we should have killed her when we had the chance. She's shite. ;3

ZeeKusa

Shit! I thought we were playing Modern Warfare but it turns out we were playing Titanfall 2!

PyroJack24

Yea, it's almost like we're going to Game Over here... After all, we were warned; we had a chance to earn two lives from Jingle, screwed it up, and there will be no more lives going forward. And we just blew the extra life we earned. *sigh* This is why I haven't even bothered to vote for these polls, I'm just ready to move on. Because we ALSO missed out on another 'What If' bad end peek. I don't like being pessimistic, but I've abandoned all hope, ye who enter here.

PyroJack24

Note for the future? No more vent loops, and no more 'timing' puzzles. Period.

MrToastsandwich

Hey, we made a mistake. Let’s just not make any more, agent.

Dreeming Royalty

Jingle being assimilated, just like she should be! And just like everyone should be uwu

MrToastsandwich

If I could make a request for future adventures - I second this. They kinda suck honestly…

CosmicNeko

Been quite a bit since we had a game over, new record I think?

Guy

That's what you get for camping that hard

ozoneserpent

Planning for the next adventure has already begun and I can tell you I have not yet made plans for it to have ducts/timing

No1isHere

Was I right? Or was I right???

MrToastsandwich

PLEASE don’t. In the end of the day, I’m not gonna tell you how you should or should not write your own adventures. But that would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

No1isHere

So thaaaaats what was there

No1isHere

Sooo… why didn’t you shoot it?

No1isHere

Agent toast. Thank you for always comforting the agents and adding your 2 cents to the mission. Your a true gentleman. Sidenote: Your Xbox controller looks like a pair of eyes and a mustache for some reason for meh

MrToastsandwich

You’re welcome, agent. I try to be positive but sometimes even I have my moments of doubt. At this point, failure is very much a possibility. But should we fail, we at least went down with a fight. That’s something the boogies or their sympathisers can't ever take away from us. Let’s do our best. *Raises salute* Sidenote: Lolz.

Ash Shadowfox

I tried to tell you guys to shoot, now she go turned into a dog

Noir

Because at least ~108 people disagreed with me lol

Drone Raccoon

imagine getting a blaster and then electing not to use it. smh

Person

That was a bit anticlimactic

AverageFanEnjoyer

Pussies. Or rather, Bitches, considering your current new form…

AverageFanEnjoyer

Maybe if y’all fucking took a moment to realize that this wasn’t a timing puzzle, vent loop, or anything remotely challenging, you wouldn’t be in this mess. You all being dissonant pussies led to this. In fact, I designed this so that the hardest part would be coming to a consensus, not because of any actual challenge, but due to your own lack of coordination and argumentative ability. That said, I do believe Ozone may somewhat be at fault here. His drawings did not 100% align with the vision I had, which indeed would have helped you all better assess the situation, for which I apologize.

MrToastsandwich

That’s easy for you to say, you had all the answers. Just because you think that something is obvious, it might not be so obvious for others. Our suggestion about timing puzzles and vent loops in general still stands tho.

MrToastsandwich

Like I said before, we made a mistake. Let’s not argue whose fault it is and focus on not making any more.

Tabithecat

Ah, I see you're a man of culture aswell.

ozoneserpent

It's cute when you guys plead. :) I don't think you'll have anything to worry about it.

PyroJack24

You *could* say that... But then you look at our track record.

Mori

Not sure I like this game over as much as the others...

pl4gu3r47

looks like or big boy is a bit smarter than or avarge videogame enemie.

pl4gu3r47

i'm curious if cassandra gets a more bulky/beasty drone form in her next game over? Btw get different personality different light marking if they get boogied.

Silver Fenn Xara

....looking at all the bickering, all I can say is that this adventure feels 'too open' as to what can be interpreted at all the key points that failure was due to certain things not being clear. I'm a GM/DM myself and I can tell you straight off that what the players see will never align with what the creator thinks. There may be a few times it will match up, but erring on the side of it not being picked up is better than assuming it will be understood. While everyone is looking at the same images, they are not interpreting it the same way....which is a major fault of how this works out in general. Its why a CYOA is a bad idea with just how many people are able to vote in this fashion. Agreeing or not doesn't matter if most are completely unsure as to what happened in a previous decision.

AverageFanEnjoyer

Honestly? Ridiculously based take. I’ve now tried, and now I know why it’s a lost cause.

Silver Fenn Xara

Part of what marks the difference between a successful story and a failed one....is not how many bodies hit the floor or the greatness/grandeur of what is going on.......its merely, does the group going through the adventure feel AGENCY in what they are doing? Did the real successes feel properly earned? Did the failures feel equally as Earned? If you cannot answer EITHER of those questions with a proper straight answer, something is wrong and needs fixing. A Story is only as good as the ones preparing it, when stuff goes wrong and both sides are to blame....it means a misinterpretation of what was going on occurred and left bitter feelings behind. With as many players involved with this storytelling, to me.....this feels heavily crowded. It should be a thing that at MAX 20 or less people are involved in, not thousands. Decisions should happen 'by slim margins' and not landslide 'victories'. I've genuinely been 'on the sidelines' more with this whole thing. I'm quiet because there is much to analyze here and SIGNIFICANT amounts to learn of the whole interactive group that exists. A huge wealth of learning about the kinds of people who are most vocal is here, and should be given plenty consideration going forward.

AverageFanEnjoyer

You speak a ludicrous amount of sense. I swear, I got more entertainment out of watching this train get derailed time and time again than I ever had standing at the helm, whether as a player or a “game master.” …I don’t think that kind of philosophy is very healthy for anybody. Clearly this style of interactivity isn’t suited to a large group of diversely thinking individuals who, now that the adventures have stakes, can’t make any coordinated effort or proper discussion. Of all the hundreds who vote, perhaps only 20 will actually say something, and even fewer something with any hint of insight or merit backing them.

WoChiFo

You all had to let it happen xD welp, being a camper in the corner in any game has always let to them being killed eventually xD Also where the hecc did she got the marshmallows 👀

Radian

clown powers

Silver Fenn Xara

What I would feel needs doing...well, personally speaking, I think a distinct talk over where this is actually headed needs to be done....ABOVE all the role-playing and double-talk that goes about. Straight answers, straight questions. Nothing between.

MrToastsandwich

You speak FAR too much sense. There does feel like there could be improvements in how the adventure itself funktions. I’m not gonna pretend like I have all the answers here, but maybe there should be more than two options for every part. Like three or four options for what the current character can choose to do and only one of those options are a game over. Think about it, that way, the votes for every decision could be more spread out and we wouldn’t be as likely to lose lifes and argue over landslides and whatnows. Or maybe Ozone could give a more detalied explanation for what every choice would imply. Maybe he could draw some seperate images that give hints to what it is the characters are gonna do should we pick that choice. Again, I’m just making suggestions here. But I do agree that something could be done to make these choices more clear and avoid misunderstandings.

Remember kids, camping on the battlefield will do you no good.

KaleShibata

I recall mentioning that we lack specific information which a large group needs to make a solid decision. its not just a matter of art its a matter of written context. most CYOA make it fairly obvious why doing something might be a bad idea. here we are told shoot or hide. it can catch shots so this implies it either: can't make high speed turns (proven false), meaning the only correct option was to keep making shots and hoping to overload it without hitting ourselves or having it thrown back. that wasn't really implied. so it kinda feels like we were killed more by inaction due to incomplete info. not because we chose an idea blatantly bad. but thats just my opinion. and its not the first time I've felt that way on a failure.

Mandalorian Manray

I would like to see the good ending for this story but our complete lack of coordination since the beginning was the answer for how this would end lmao. I hope Cassandra and Jingle get more stories even after we all get gooped 😔

MrToastsandwich

Agent… I know things look grim, I won’t deny that. But it’s not over until it’s over. Don’t give up yet.

Sapphire Crook

It was Jingle herself who said it: "Once they check the last place of witness, they give up and go back to their business!" It's a bit optimistic to assume it would just charge right by, isn't it?
