The first season of The Wayans Bros leaned heavily into slapstick humor and over-the-top comedy, making it feel sillier compared to later seasons. You will notice a change when you get to season 2. In the first season, Shawn and Marlon's characters were less grounded. As the show progressed, the writers refined their characters, making them more relatable and the humor more situational. First season I think they were just testing the waters since this was a new network they were also appearing on.
