Is some of this welcome pack the same as the May downloads?

Hi Steve! Great question — some of the Welcome Pack models were originally released a few months ago, but they've now been reworked and improved with fixes to balance, pose stability, and mesh issues. They’ve been re-uploaded so new members can easily find them, but they’re not counted as part of this month’s models — they’re just a bonus refresh! Let me know if you have any other questions — and welcome aboard!

Hi! The files are in .rar format, and you can easily extract them using software like WinRAR. If you run into any issues, feel free to let me know and I’ll be happy to help!

Hi! I understand that some of you don’t have WinRAR to extract .rar files. No worries — you can easily extract the files using free online services like Extract.me, ezyZip.com, or Unzip-online.com. These sites let you upload and extract .rar files without installing any software. I’ll also re-upload all the Welcome Pack files as .zip archives in the near future for more convenience. But if you want to access the files sooner, just try one of these online tools — they work well and are completely free! Let me know if you need any help.

I have a MAC. How do I open the RAR files?

You can open RAR files on Mac using a free app called The Unarchiver (available on the App Store).

Hi! To open the RAR files: On Windows: use WinRAR or 7-Zip. On Mac: use The Unarchiver. Just download and install one of these programs, then right-click the RAR file and choose Extract. You’ll find all the STL/3MF models inside ready to print.

i am having a hard time opening the free files anyway to get them in a different file form?

The Welcome Pack files are currently in RAR format, so you’ll need a simple program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to open them. Both are free and should let you extract the files without any problem. I know some people have been having trouble with that, so I’m planning to re-upload all of the Welcome Pack files in ZIP format to make things easier for everyone. I may not have time to do it immediately, but I’ll try to get that done in the next few days. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience!
