Cedro just wants to make things right but I'm always so nervous about the other man possibly

I respect that Cedro is happy for Zeke and that he realized that Zeke doesn't need to be protected, but respected. And as for Zeke being too nice, I'd say that's a mixed bag. He's been shown to be protective of anyone he cares about, and very vocal about anyone he doesn't like(Garrett) until that person earns his trust.
