I'm guessing they actually knew already. My theory right now is Clyde was a child star and his mom was his manager (maybe even still is) and Rory is also somehow employed by his brother. They knew Clyde was gay and pushed him to stay in the closet. Now they're pissed that it's out and that his career will be effected, and thus theirs
