Before I even watch the video, I have to say that I LOVED this game. I wish more games were like this.

TV4Fun

As much as I'd have loved hearing Yahyzee's opinion on Factorio, I voted for this cause this seemed much more like he could fit in the time to play it properly for his review. Factorio would've required a second job.

I played the orginial on a Commodore 64 and now I feel very old.

What's the over under that the intro to this video will cause a Strisan Effect, and next year Danganrampa will win by a land slide, lol?

Shogeton

It makes absolutely no difference I imagine, but the idea is that every so often, you stop the boat, divide up all the loot, and let some of these boys retire. It's not like they're getting a pay cheque, they're doing all this in the hope of getting their fair share, and you kept saying 'no, just a little bit longer'

Mikey

I hold you all accountable for not voting for Danganronpa

ConTM

God dammit I really wanted that Danganronpa review, it pushes the limits for how mixed my feelings can be on a video game at every possible moment.

When I used to play it the trick I found was to assualt a town and then divide the loot before recruiting more. Generally assaulting a town would cause some of your crew to die and normally when you loot a town you will have too many items for your ship to carry. So yeah splitting loot is why your morale kept dropping.

Patrick Likins

Better luck next time, Daganronpa fans lol

I recall enjoying TF out the game back in the day, though it did certainly get a bit...grindy after a while. It's very samey after a certain point. And I HATED the mechanic that YOU got older and slower but Baron Von Twatstaffle or whatever his name was stayed just as fast as ever despite being literally a decade or so older than you.

Robert Bevill

Can we get a The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy review in place of Danganronpa? It even came out this year!

Fully Ramblomatic progressive metal album of the week: Appropriate Rewards And Punishments by the Gung-Ho Twinks (featuring a bonus track with guest appearance by the Rebellious Posh Crumpets)

That’s my feeling in the game also. My most frustrating part is trying to decipher the hand movements for the dancing. Moving the hand to the right means press right, moving the hand nigh imperceptibly differently to the right means diagonally backwards to the right.

Sid Meier's Perverts sounds like a fun game.

StephieF

I still say Danganronpa should be the next "Yahtzee Reads the lore of..." video.

Kraken

Essentially, your crew eventually goes, "Yeah, this is great, and all... But when are we going to get to LEAVE this ship and SPEND all this gold on rum and sex?" Which, you know, fair enough; a few years on a pirate ship, I'd be ready to stab the guy in the next hammock over his foot hygiene, too. So, disband, start a new boat, watch your stats slowly crumble.

Adam R

The Xbox version adds a lot of great stuff that lets you unlock new things after every time you retire your captain

Kirk Schneider

I remember it being grindy as well. Although at least they were trying to make an open ended world to interact with. Too many games today dont aspire to anythign but spectacle.
