I think Silksong broke PSN lol. Also Metal Eden is really fun!

The James Bond Trailer has a lot of action, but do you think they will include some of the fun gadgets? If so, what gadget would you like for them to include? I am partial to the shoe knife.

Follow up because at this point I'm committed. Found Nailmaster Sheo, defeated 3 Warrior Dreams, and made my way into the ancient basin. I haven't thrown in the towel yet. I want to silk songs just like everyone else.

Unfortunately I'll have to watch the VOD for this one, because Silksong. But I'm curious on your thoughts on why the platforms weren't prepared to handle the release today and if you think it means it way outsold expectations.

Hollow Knight and Silksong. Great games, respect them for their impact on gaming. Not my cup of tea. Too hard for my aging reflexes 😅

What impact will Amazon acquiring the Bond franchise have on the game? Since the contract was signed prior to the acquisition, are they in the clear?

Ok now that we pretty much know the rest of the releases for this year which year do you think stacks up better 2024 or 2025?

Not for Firelink but more a note for Marty down the line: If JM8 does ever want to lock in a FF title to play beyond XIV, maybe probe him to find out if he has a favorite raid event since most of them are references to past FFs (and Nier that one time). Maybe getting context for something he already likes would help ease him in.

The price value on Silksong is so insane it's worth purchasing on multiple platforms so I don't have to share with the wife!

Is it inevitable that every James Bond game will be compared to Goldeneye 64? I feel with other releases that has always been the yardstick by which they were measured by. Or does this new game do enough to differentiate itself from the game that defined James Bond video games on console to not be able to be compared?

Oh neat, I actually didn’t know that about the Raids! Yeah, will definitely keep that in mind if he ever makes the plunge. Out of curiosity, did any of the Raids stand out as really excelling in paying homage to their source?

It's wild to me how much changing the downward nail strike to diagonal for Silksong has completely changed the way the game feels

Actually, like you, I 've only played the 14 offline titles and a shotgun smattering of side games. I have touched XI in a free trial when Steam had the game for $5 and then watched cutscenes compilations for everything up to Wings of the Goddess. For XIV, I just know of it and occasionally read about the game.

What games would you recommend for the Switch 2? I have Mario Kart & Donkey Kong + a PS5/Xbox.

If you never played Kirby and the Forgotten Kingdom, that's solid. Just got a Switch 2 upgrade too.
