Thought they made that deal a long time ago? 😈

Robert Bevill

Looks like I'm not buying any more EA games.

Pyrian

I thought EA WAS the devil that studios made deals with, lol.

Simon Øhlers

Yeah, that's probably more accurate 😂

There is still hope that the deal doesn't goes through, let's hope a bit...

There's always a bigger fish, I suppose. The only thing I would want from EA is a TF|3 and the possibility of that died a long time ago. I haven't liked a single game from Bioware other than Origins but I weep for the people stuck there, who just wanted to work in video games but are trapped on a sinking ship and the lifeboats are having holes punched in them by the Coast Guard because it's cheaper to just cash out on the insurance

Owned by a religious monarchy that LITERALLY teaches that gays are be tortured to death and a would-be monarch that agrees.

I don't see EA surviving this and to be frank, it is better that way. It is gonna be sold off for parts, as expected. It is also stark reminder that corpos and money has no friends, or loyalty, or actual care how world works.

best hope for TF as franchise is to be sold off. It is quite clear EA never have solid interest in it.

I used to be a big BioWare fan. Obviously they’ve gone downhill from their heyday. But while Veilguard wasn’t good, it was better than I expected given how it was basically three different games stitched together. I would have liked to see them get a chance to make a proper game. I’ll be sad to see them go, but even worse would be to see them hollowed out by culture war dirtbags.

I think money will talk regarding properties like the Sims, I feel that the current fanbase probably wouldn’t be accepting of a rebrand (though they swallow everything else tbf). Maybe this is a blessing in disguise for the countless studios trapped in the EA machinery that will inevitably be sold off soon; considering how many companies EA has done this exact thing to there’s a real poetic irony to it. At the end of the day, I can’t remember the last EA game I played. It will continue its slow decline into just making the same 3 games each year and hopefully the teams and studios involved can capitalise on a gap in the market.
