I am actually excited about helldivers slimming down, my kids have taken over my PC and the battle for Hard drive space is real. Also, Clair Obscur sweep, simply for the news it will generate.

While I have not played Silksong and have no interest in it, I still think it was snubbed a nomination for Audio Design. Just from what I have seen of the game, it is less that it has a stellar soundtrack and more that it seems to have an on-point soundscape.

P.S.: Why is the PlayTracker guild list only have Clair Obscur for just Steam and Xbox? I want my Platinum Trophy to be counted so I can at least hit Rank V.

Re yacht club whilst I am certainly looking forward to Mina the hollower I definitely can’t see that being an overt Indy hit - the market is a very different place to when shovel knight was originally released.

Given the Yacht Club mention you guys obviously read the Jason Scheier article. Seems like the got too ambitious, grew too big and took on too many big projects at once. Hopefully the game is a success and they live within their means going forward. The demo was a fun time.

Oh, also- Creative Assembly revealed today that they’re revealing their next Total War game at TGA. Speculation is this is going to be some kind of IP title like 40K or Star Wars or something. My hopes are more in the realm of LotR.

I'm really impressed with the early humility surrounding the awards this year. From Charlie Cox shouting out the mo-cap actors, Team Cherry giving CO:33 It's flowers, and even Megabonk withdrawing from the competition for the sake of other debut indies. It's really cool to see. Any predictions about Keighley's demon statue? I hope its a big muppet game reveal.

What are your thoughts and guesses on the teaser phrase that Keighley posted on socials regarding a 'big reveal'? Will he be able to keep a straight face when getting roasted from W+S this year too haha. I've got to remember to make my bingo card...

I hope E33 wins everything it can. I absolutely love that game. But I'm worried it'll get sidestepped on some awards because it's winning too much.

Who's your biggest snub? Not necessarily goty, but what game should have gotten a nomination for something and got missed. Good luck and I hope you have a nice day.

Meanwhile, I feel like KCD2 should win everything it can, and it's main voice actor was snubbed. I feel like the popularity contest means E33 will win everything when I really think KCD2 should at least get in the RPG slot as a tip of the hat to my favorite game of the decade

I know E33 will win tons of awards but I really hope KCD2 can get best RPG as a consolation prize. I truly feel it is the better game, but it did not hit widespread notice of the media like E33 did

I know JM8 would agree with you on some level about KCD2. I agree that popularity will be a major driving force for E33. I hope KCD2 wins some but it doesn't seem to have the popularity to get the recognition it deserves. I still need to play it.

I predict that the biggest twist will be that GTA 6 is not delayed and it will launch during the Game Awards.

Not a prediction, but I’m worried that the industry will learn the wrong lessons from CO:E33, and think that Soulslike gameplay elements need to be injected into every game genre possible. If I want to play a turn-based game, I do not want to have to worry about my reaction time.

Prediction: Silksong will be about to win Game of the Year when the envelope papercuts the host for 2 masks of damage and he ragequits instead.

I imagine Expidition 33 is going to take home the most awards, but not a full sweep. With a Kojima game in this year's awards that means Kojima will probably be in attendance. I think they'll have him present onstage and show a new nongameplay trailer for his new projects

Is there an awards show that is primarily for indies? So many come out these days that it feels impossible to avoid many great ones getting snubbed at the Keighleys.

I don't really care about the awards, none of it is particularly important to me except for the fact that E33 was nominated for Best Indie despite the fact that it's not an indie game due to the fact that it has a publisher. As for the reveals, I honestly couldn't say. Maybe we'll hear more about KH4 and Okami 2 but that's the only thing I can really think of. What I *want* out of the Game Awards is much different from what I *think* we're going to see
