I had to look up what was censored in Dispatch. Apparently, Nintendo thinks it's fine we can have full tits, vag, dick, and ass on display, including AI generated crap, but we have to go FULL SEND and we can't flip the bird. Now someone's gotta develop a deranged hentai puzzle game where it's the least horny, anti-artistic nudity that's even difficult for the gooniest of gooners to have a wank to, and see if Nintendo approves it.

Highguard is really suffering the ramifications of being Keighleys "one last thing". A lot of this may have been avoided with a closed Beta and some more time to cook. I'd love to see it find success, but it's hard to steal players in that market from games they are already married to.

Best table app for those under 30 years old: Fried Calamari - Just so tasty and can be reached for on a big table with fingers or forks, sliced lemons and tzatziki sauce with the order Best table app for those over 30 years old whose bodies have chosen now as the time to betray us with slower metabolisms and higher cholesterol: Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts - Broil until the outer leaves char a bit and you got a sweet nutty almost creamy center, with a tangy coating that is rich in fiber and low in calories.

How silly is it?😛 XD ; Match Game jokes aside, I'm curious about what you guys mean by "silly" 'cause that can mean a lot of things good and bad

Lil' Cass (CJ)

Yep, because with live service games I am married to Warframe and Brawlhalla

Anything on the anime rec list for the new year Marty? JK s3 aside that is...

Thank you — this is the kind of appetizer analysis I was looking for.

Steady Goblin Wood

Also personally my favorite appetizers are tomato bisque, parmesean asparagus, and fried deviled eggs with candied bacon since you asked

I've seen that folks online have had success in getting Dispatch refunds from Nintendo, and if they don't announce a change soon I think I'll be joining them. The adult themes and content aren't necessarily the reason I bought the game, but I do expect a game with those themes to treat their audience like adults.

I'm intrigued by Ever After but won't have the time to play it once Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined comes out. For now I'm playing Chrono Cross. The backlog is real.

The dumbest question: Is Escape from Ever After a JRPG? Please feel free to ignore. Best appetizer is fried brussels sprouts. They're good with balsamic, lemon juice, chipotle mayo, teriyaki sauce, I even had them with gochujang and honey recently. You can top them with sliced nuts, bacon, currants, pickled onions, cheese (probably not all at once, but I don't kink shame) -- truly an all-purpose carrier that still taste fantastic on their own.

It's funny that one of Highguard's biggest problems is the same reason it wasn't dead on arrival: the Game Awards trailer. Highguard being Geoff Keighley's "one more thing" caused it to be held to standards that it could never live up to, while also being the same reason that anyone even remembered it exists to begin with.

I'm a big fan of Coconut Shrimp or Bacon-wrapped Scallops. In the right establishment, a Scotch Egg or because I am over 30, those Roasted Brussel Sprouts or Buffalo Cauliflower. If I am at a sports bar to watch a few hours of football or college basketball, I always go for a sampler or some mix and match deal. But, I consider those small plates and NOT an appetizer. ***Where are we at with the Patreon video of the staff's Favorite Word List?

Chips. Just plain old chips. Perhaps with aioli to dip with. Oh yes. Being Australian, chips in this context means French fries. This is opposed to me suggesting chips where I mean potato crisps. They’re both chips in Aus.

Rolled credits on Mio last night, really loved it overall. Curious to know where Marty’s up to and if KC has tried it at all.

If it's true the Geoff gave the game the spot because he liked it, then I don't really have a problem with it. We always talk about a game doesn't need to be everyone's game of the year, just someones. If Geoff really like that game, great. I hope it does well. I really hate when people come out of the gate hating something before they've actually played it for a bit.

I'm curious what is you alls take on the following. It feels like everytime Microsoft takes over a franchise that is performing well, suddenly performance dips. Call of Duty being a recent example, and Halo being an older example. How much of this do you think is Microsoft mismanagement and how much is just that they keep taking over franchises right after that have peaked? I'm not saying all their products are garbage, it's just something I've noticed. I think Fable will be a home run.

Highguard’s issue isn’t Geoff promoting it, but rather it being another game genre/mechanics mashup looking to cash in. That along with uninteresting art direction, launch day performance issues, and gigantic, empty maps for 3v3 matches make it unappealing at best.

Dour Dodger Esquire

Additionally, the game seems to be courting the competitive gamer market which is already inundated with much better titles. The sweaties aren’t going to put time into an okay game, performance issues aside.

I’m sadly behind on jumping in to this season’s new crop. Wrapping up a rewatch of Frieren season 1, then hopping into a few new shows in my queue. I’ll hopefully have some thoughts on them in a week or two!

Marty Sliva

LOVE deviled eggs, never had them fried!

Marty Sliva

Replayed Chrono Cross last year. A+ vibes and soundtrack.

Steady Goblin Wood

Man if you ever get a chance, take it! It's a treat and a half for sure.

Marty Sliva

Hell yeah. It’s so funny that as a kid, brussels sprouts are the go-to “eww, veggies are gross.” But as an adult, they’re legit incredible. TLDR — kids are dumb.

Marty Sliva

Been on a firecracker shrimp kick lately. Love those spicy lil’ guys.

Marty Sliva

An Australian pal turned me onto the wonders of aioli a while back. Truly an S-tier condiment.

I just can't fathom why, with so many negative things happening in the world, people can't just treat games as escapism and fun. You don't like something, well, there are thousands of other games. No one is forcing us to play Highguard or any other title. Just makes me sad.

Listen, every vegetable is kinda gross if you just boil or steam it, especially cruciferous ones like broccoli or brussels. If that was how you ate veggies as a kid, then I totally understand. But every vegetable becomes delicious when you roast or fry them! Seasonings and sauces are your friends -- always use twice as much as the recipe calls for.
