Changed my Patreon name, so you shouldn't have trouble pronouncing it now, Marty. Why does it seem like Rockstar gets hacked more often than other game companies? Is it because they never fold? Or maybe the "leaks" would be fewer if they treated their employees better. Food for thought. Also. Metro 2039 trailer was fantastic. Won't have any themes relevant to a certain war in Eastern Europe. No siree

I have a Theory that Because Markiplier made his own Movie based on Ironlung, a game he loved. Sony wish to replicate that, by producing the Bloodborne film in Collaboration with Jacksepticeye who is an outspoken fan off bloodborne

Michael Franke

Bloodborne movie headed by Jacksepticeye may be the best thing Ireland has done since trying to explode Thatcher

Street Fighter trailer looks awesome. I love the campy over the top energy and character designs. KC wasn't excited for it but I think it's gonna be a blast even if it isn't a "good movie"

If you had one game to be the one more thing for your showcase, what would it be and why would it be DokeV?

Seeing a new IP from a well-established studio like Capcom is amazing! given how risk-averse triple-a gaming has become

How Martys enjoying Witch Hat Atelier? It a stunning, adaptation of a great manga only slight gripefrom me (and I appreciate this might just be a, being from the UK thing) I have to listen to the original dub because all the English voices are incredibly bad impressions of an overly posh person's accent

I'm always torn in a situation like Pragmata. I want to play it at launch to be in the loop and show developers that new IPs do sell. On the other hand, the economy, and I may only be able to afford the game when it goes on sale a few months down the road. Should I wait?

It was reported that Epic is making an Extraction shooter featuring Disney characters, and I was wondering what the Firelink team thinks of this! I just can’t imagine there’s enough of a market overlap between hardcore Disney fans and Extraction shooter fans to make this a wise investment.

Watched the Metro 2039 trailer. Excited to play it either late this year or early next year (it just says coming this winter). The trailer shows both Russian fascists stealing children, and the indoctrination of children into a death cult. Big “I know writers who uses subtext and they’re all cowards” energy. Makes sense since the book’s author Dmitry Glukhovsky is the very prominent Russian of the original books was actually sentenced in absentia to 8 years in prison for his outspoken criticism of the regime and the war in Ukraine.

I think the marginal difference you can make with an at-launch purchase probably matters less to Capcom than it would to an indie studio. No idea what their sales targets are, but I'm guessing it's in the few hundred thousands range, so I'd recommend waiting for a sale. I can't afford to buy AAA games at launch price either.

Is Pragmata going to sell? Do you think word of mouth / reviews will be enough to help shift copies in today’s marketplace?

How does KC feel about Dragonball Super being rebooted from the beginning without Toriyama?

I want to give additional accolades to Marty and Jack and Eric for 5 hours of best entertainment of the month if not year. Would love to see more bingo boards in the future.

Are games adaptations the new comic book movies? I feel like we're getting a lot of those, and it's getting a bit stale already. I think that a lot of games' charm comes from their interactivity (obvious right), and it's lost when it changes media. Sure, story heavy games can be easier yo adapt, but they're often movies with a bit of gameplay anyway. I'm not sure Fromsoft unique style would work in another medium.

After hearing about the live action Elden ring I was super concerned with what these IP’s are getting aimed at. And while an animated bloodborne definitely sounds more of a cohesive idea. I still just finding myself thinking these are just Mario movie-esque ploys for big cash. Any thoughts?
