Blu Ray is still the standard?

Robert Bevill

I knew about the Nintendo Seal of Approval, but I wasn't sure what it actually meant, now I know.

Swift Justice

People treat it as a joke nowadays but it was a whole thing that having literally any oversight as to what games were released on your console, when they were actively taking up shelf space and all, was a genuine need to stop studios completely flooding the space with barely playable garbage to the point where actually remotely good games were completely drowned out.

Tim Vinson

Has Atari's biggest most dangerous rival ever been anyone other than themselves?

Swift Justice

The clone wars are an especially funny riff given the whole leadup to them literally has the protagonists visit the factories in which the armies of both sides are manufactured. Lucas was never particularly subtle.

I vote we do a fundraiser to force Yahtzee to watch the entire Hyperdimension Neptunia anime on livestream.

James Jackson

Let's all laugh at an in-dus-try...

Raise your hand if you at least considered the possibility that "Atari Versus Nintendo: The Curse of the Rabbit" was the title of a game Yahtzee played.

Blindman

I'd watch seems like a fun fandom.

Fully Ramblomatic early 2000s nu-metal track of the week: Drink The Diarrhoea by Hedgerow of Autocracy

I thought it was a reference to Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

I just learned about another way that unlicensed NES carts bypassed the authentication chip; a couple I had as kids had a slot for an additional cartridge, similar to Sonic & Knuckles later on, but rather than for adding to the game it was to use the legitimate cart's authenticator in place of its own. In the analogy this is probably using your cousin's ID to get into the club.
