So wait, he bitches about games not being Papers Please, then gets a game he himself says is just Papers Please, and now he doesn't like it because its too much like Papers Please? Can't say I'm too surprised. He's talked about this himself years ago on ZP. About people not knowing what they want until they get it, but also if all they get is the same thing they won't be satisfied. So maybe instead of bitching about games that he fail at being Papers Please, he should be keeping an eye out for something new that he might overlook while he's searching for another Papers Please

His job is critic. He does criticism. A game being another game with a fresh coat of paint is a valid criticism.

That's not what I was saying. I was pointing out that regardless if its the same game with a new coat of paint or a different game thats close to the original, he's not happy either way. And its a flawed thinking he points out a number of times himself in older videos.

Pretty sure the common theme there is that they missed central parts of what made the original game good in the first place ie, time limits and stakes. This game takes the formula and then adds nothing, which is the criticism.
