Thank you for posting this before Yahtzee Tries. It's better to have the review fresh in mind when listening to this so having it release shortly after works better IMO. Understand logistics can get in the way, but I think it should be a goal to aim for. Great chat! Makes me want to try the game out

I had tons of fun with this game and it absolutely nails the aesthetics and atmosphere. Very strong reccomendation from me. As for people who like Nick want a soulslike with a clearer storytelling I strongly urge you to play First Berserker Khazan - maybe not an ambitious story but it inexplicably drew me in.

Ah man, I really enjoyed the combat of that one, but the world was just so visually boring I ended up putting it down. There's story there for sure, but for a souls game to really click with me I need that exploration aspect too.

Is the goal we're aiming for going forward!

I appreciate a more accessible souls-like. Another Crab's Treasure was one of my absolute favorites, and I'm glad there's another option for folks who are wary of the genre.

I'm usually the same. But in this case the amazing combat overshadowed the shortcomings.

I think people were talking about the version of Radahn in Shadow of the Erdtree that had to be nerfed. Too many streamers spending 4 hours getting stomped into the ground because none of them know how to block.

Soul with good story involves a crab under da sea

I really like BOTH of your comments about this game. I can understand & sympathize with both points of view, which I usually don't. I find you both very clearly stated your opinions and both were kind of charming.

Just a reminder that even the makers of Bloodborne have admitted that they didn’t finish writing the story. I don’t mind a lore-read for extra context but I do think that the lack of a clear narrative is one of those things that turns me off the genre. This one might be my way in though by the sounds of it?
