Guardians of the Galaxy? I at least think you didn't hate it, Yahtzee.

How to fight the world hating you? Have you tried using the power of friendship to kill God?

what can i say i enjoy the Plauge Tales story (not my favorite franchise) but i find the mythology and historical setting interesting and the character engaging, even while getting super sad for their fates.

I've not played either of the Plague Tales games, but Yahtzee's description of this recent one makes me think that the head writer is one of those sci-fi fans who have spent way too much time iterating on "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas."

...the news over-estimates their viewers, IMO. At least if you are paying attention to current events.

I very much enjoy this format! Hearing more opinions about the game & its crafting is a wonderful extra. It also is very amusing to hear some extra snark, as well. Getting to witness the point/counter-point - & even agreement - with a second party is also very much appreciated.

I think we all have genres we're a bit more tolerant of. I played Wolcen and it's one of the funniest games I've ever played, but it was fine. It's memorable because of the ending, but many people are actively hostile to the game for that. But I guess I wasn't upset that a plot with no interesting characters and seemingly no coherent plot points would have a squib ending, which it did not. My point is I put up with the game because it was okay, it hit the right notes, it wasn't perfect and I could criticize a lot of what it did but at the end of the day I liked it and would defend it's worth playing. People who "only play good games" have no clue what the they are talking about. The disagreement doesn't need justification is all I'm saying. I liked Death by Degrees, and I've never heard a single positive word said about that game.
