Matches my personal opinion: meh, it's fine but not required playing. In fact, in the middle of my playthrough, I went back to Voyager: Across the Unknown for its DLC.

Aww. Yahtzee neither liked the game enough nor hated it enough to fill the review with his trademarked witticisms, cock jokes, and t-bagging takedowns of corporate types and basement dwellers alike. Damn. :-\ I do think it deserved better than a "meh" rating, but I don't play games for a living so I don't really count.

I am enjoying it for the most part even though I do feel XCom-2 is a bit better. Having more recruits does pay off if you have the upgrade to gain bond experience for anyone who doesn't go on missions. Those spares will give bond points to your plot characters.

The one thing I felt that this did better, or at least notably different, than com is that the narrative of the game felt more solid. Both to its benefit and detriment now that I've finished it. It doesn't have the replayability of XCOM, but the playthrough I did felt more satisfying.

I feel like most games these days allow for pretty seamless switching between keyboard/mouse and controller. When I replay the State of Decay games, I will often use the controller for everything and then switch to the mouse when I need to line up a long-range rifle shot. Is that not the case for this game?
