Much like how Jean-Luc Picard is a monument to Patrick Stewart, The Backdrop is a testament to your love for film and television, Darren. Thank you🧡. And also, thank you to everybody else at SecondWindGroup, too🧡, from both the team and the community😄🧡😊.

The scene from The Inner Light you used with him playing the flute hurts now, too, because another actor from that episode passed away recently as well.

There's something so wonderfully humane and empathetic about both your videos and, appropriately, Patrick Stewart's work that's genuinely wonderful to see. Thank you x

Again, great piece, Darren. I cried when i read it, i cried when i watched it. And now im wearing my terrible star trek pun shirt in remembrance

Overzealous Euthanasiast

Watching the UK working class actors disappear before my very eyes is an cultural existential ache (especially the occasional web search that plops out family trees of modern actors more akin to Marks n Spenser's fanciest glittered Christmas tree options) What we have ahead of us is not looking good to say the least, if there's much left at all after global warming hits its stride. Have yet to see the new stuff, but knowing Patrick had put so much more of himself in the new Picard does make it a more appealing though bittersweet venture.
