Prior to applying the oil, do you you varnish to protect the acrylic? I have seen some people do that and just wondered if it was personal preference or if there was a reason to do that. And Thanks for the video!

Hi there! usually I do, but I didn't on that model. If so, I would recommend a gloss varnish so the oil flows better, but I do varnish after the oil, let it dry, clean, let it dry and then I apply a satin coat, to fix the oil.
