Not episode related honestly, just YOU related at this point... I'm honestly fascinated by this as a guy wanting to make a great AVN myself some day... How do you seriously keep track of all this branching?? I know of Twine, but is that seriously the only tool? The branching in your games is so insane that i seriously start to question my own mortality😂

Lots of small notes some flowcharts, but you'd be surprised how most is stored in my head by now. I know I should use some better kind of flowchart system, but I've reached a point where I don't need it since I live and breathe the game.

I am really confused, I extracted the whole season files into a totally different folder from what I had used before and for some reason my saves are in the new folder. I moded the game to unlock all scenes but I kept a backup version unmodded but my modded saves are in the new download. Does anyone know why this might happen?

Finished my playthrough with Jill. The only phrase that can describe it is Absolutely Outstanding Fucking Work! I feel like I'm riding a rollercoaster. Time for my number 2 girl, Sage. Then I think I'm going to work on Others.

Saves are kept in two locations: "game/saves" and "%appdata%/RenPy/BeingaDIKSeason3-Patreon-1535311494" Don't modify your game to avoid problems in the future.

So how do I fix it? if I redownload its still there. and the mod files break ch12. I literally deleted the whole folder and redownloaded it. I searched RenPy/BeingaDIKSeason3 and it found nothing on the entire PC, I even disabled cloud backup but it keeps finding the saves somewhere.

1. Download a full clean game. 2. Delete the saves in both "game/saves" and "%appdata%/RenPy/BeingaDIKSeason3-Patreon-1535311494". Also delete the persistent file. 3. If you had a backup of clean saves, but those back into "game/saves" That should work if you did all steps correctly.

Just finished my first playthrough with Jill. The characters feel so real. You learn new things about so many and it feels like in real life. You mostly don't see what a person is carrying below the surface. And thinking about my variations in the saves I am looking forward to all the content I did not see yet. But why, why, why: You can't give so many answers and yet raise so many questions again. Especially the end... what?! I don't know what to think about it... To sum it up: Great episode! Thanks!

dude, it's been so hard to find some routes. I did not think chapter 12 was the best of this journey, but you did an awsome job. you are the best. since I played acting lessons I knew you were great. In my opnion the best route is the others route, but, I would like to be with nikita, But I really dont know how to get her. waiting for the walktrough

I found a possible oversight you might want to be made aware of. I'm currently playing through the Jill route but returning to Zoey. Without spoiling, I noticed that her "second part" of her gift is still in your room even though she doesn't give it to you because you break up.

I finished my first playthrough with Jill earlier today and I'm about to finish my first Sage (CHICK) playthrough. It might be the most emotional and deepest episode yet and I used to think that episodes 10 and 11 would be hard to surpass in this. I went through some very powerful emotions from the very start to the finishing line and you learn so much about the people closest to the MC and also on the main plot. I cried a lot, but I also laughed and shed a few tears of joy sometimes in the very same scenes as well. It was a very narratively dense and wonderful experience for me. The music totally enhance this and I found the new songs to be a perfect fit for the mood of every scene. The ones from the introduction part left a particularly deep impression on me and made me extremely emotional. It was amazing! Also DPC successfully reached new heights in terms of graphics in this episode. Sage, Jill, Camy and Melanie have never been prettier than in this episode. Josy was a shinning beacon of light during the whole episode as well. You can be proud of yourself DPC, your game is getting better and better with each new release.

That extra space to add comments to the save is genius. I love the fact that you can add some extra details about decisions and such. I know the Bio's do that but it's nice to be able to add those details to keep things more organized for me.

I'm so excited to jam it. But unfortunately I don't know if it's just me and due to hardware but my the game gets in fine and can get through 3-4 scenes then my game crashes. I've tried a few methods to fix it but still is happening which I'm pretty gutted about. but I hope it ain't just me.

if you are getting random crashes, then take a look at your CPU. There is a known generic issue with failing 13th/14th gen intel CPUs crashing on renpy games (it's not specific to badik). Error message usually includes something like TypeError: xxx not callable. Join our discord if you want some live assistance.

@Nordwolf If you were specifically refering to the very very last scene where you see again one that was from episode 1 and that we all wrongly thought portrayed Tommy, I just think it's one possible future, one where you become Quinn's little pet. I don't see it happening in any of playthroughs as I despise her very strongly.

I have 2 theories. The first I think is interesting, but unlikely. There is a time skip and everything has gone to shit and you have to salvage what you can. The other theory, which I think is more likely, is that the scene is part of Riona's revenge and/or stopping Quinn from hurting more people.

Just downloaded and can't wait to get started on S12. One issue I am having is that I have lost all my 2D Art. When I click on that button, all I get is a screen with some code. Wondering if there is someone out there that might be able to help me fix it. I am not much of a coding or text expert.

I love this season finale. I already have two playthroughs finished (Jill and Bella on Chick path). Next will be Dik path with Sage and then Dik path with Others in different variations. And later Josy and Maya. Lots of Playthroughs in my near future :D. You did it again Doc. Storytelling is marvelous and of course you gave me some wtf-moments. Can't wait for Season 4 were hopefully two questions, that are circling my mind right now, will be answered :)

Hey DPC! I might have found another oversight/bug while playing. During the big free-roam event, at some point you can speak to Riona near the balcony and she gets a traumatic flashback from a recent ordeal. The game reduce the volume of the music for the duration of the flashback, but when the conversation ends, the music's volume stay reduced at least until you end that part of the free-roam and start the next part. Does anyone else got this?

Just finished this episode and all I can say is.... How dare you?!?! The cliffhanger!!!! Now I'm second guessing all my decisions lol. Like I'm sad Season 4 is the end of this game. I wish it could last forever I love all these characters. Another thing. How did you make me like "Cinderella" in one episode she's funny and awesome.

Why is it that I can start the game, but advance a few scenes and then it stops and turns off? Even when I start from the end of Chapter 9.

From what I could gather, most people who have that problem either have mods or had mods when they saved their games. The episode 12 doesn't work properly with playthroughs that were "corrupted" by mods.

I agree... the cliffhanger is strange. I am troubling my head what it means and how it is related to all what happened. But I don't find a meaningful answer. Seems, I simply have to wait for episode 13.

Same also one little gripe I have is, I was on the Melanie path, and I get nothing from it. Like I got more from other path's than hers. Which what is that?!?! That path seems it was on the back burner. I mean drama is ramping up but like idk I feel very conflicted

@Nordwolf I feel like it's just one possible future where the MC becomes Quinn's little pet... That should be a red flag for all those Quinn's fans around here. With what we saw about Quinn in this episode, she's neither gonna change nor have her own redemption arc. She's gonna sink deeper and deeper and the question is, do you wanna be dragged to your death in the ocean's depths with her or not? Because it's clear to me that her hubris will either send her straight to prison or to a body bag. She snitched her boss to the police, in the organized crime, it's a death sentence. Another theory I have is that maybe there's something tragic that will happen in the MC's life and shatters his world like happened to Bella. And this, again, is one possible future where instead of getting up once he reached the bottom, he decides to stay there, to make himself comfortable to paraphrase Tommy in Season 2, to cope with his sorrow by doing hard drugs and to become Quinn's little pet in the process. Maybe something will happen to Neil or one of his love interest? Or there will be some heart shattering revelation about his past and he won't be able to cope with it in any other way. Whatever it is, I'm sure that Jill, Sage, Bella, J&M and Derek won't let you down. They will drag you out of the muck whether you like it or not. You won't stand alone and together, we're stronger. :)

Well, if you're with Nora that's the life shattering moment. So, I went back and never bothered with her after that scene in the bathroom I can't ruin MC's life. I know I was a Quinn stan. But after episode 12. I'm screw her especially after everything, and she turns around and does that at the party.

It blew my mind how DPC transformed Nikita from a background character with no line of dialogue into a fascinating one in just a few episodes and a few subtle appearances at first. Her playful sense of humor, her sensitivity and her contagious smile transformed her into my 3rd favorite girl after Jill and Sage. Quite a feat since I also adore Josy, Nicole and Rio!

DPK there is a bug where if you pack a ''very nice gift for sage'' the MC still tells her i didn't get you anything but gives the 2 other gifts to the other characters. Not sure if you aware.

We are finding that for some people, the AppData folder isn't being registered for full install. Copy over your game/saves into you v12 installation and they should show up. If you still have issues, consider coming into Discord for live assistance.

Must be unusual for Doc to have some time off like this. I think the launch of the episode went well. I didn't see nearly as many comments about needing help with the full download as last time. He just keeps improving his technique.

yes, I was playing a patched game but then switched over to the "complete" season 3 and had the same issue. I haven't noticed any other audio issues. I am playing on a mac, haven't tried my pc yet. Thanks for the fast reply.

MacOS can exhibit some permission problems with sound devices. Moving the game into the Applications folder seems to resolve them. You can try that assuming you have the space.

Can someone explain "incompatible save" to me? I play it and then when I go back to load my playthrough it doesn't work and says incompatable

Do you have two installations of the game still (e.g. v11.1 and v12.0)? If you load a save in v12 even if you are playing ep10 and save.. you can't use it if you accidentally launched v11.1 and tried to load it. Was your save point mid-episode (eg. a freeroam in ep11) rather than the end of episode? If you load that in v12 and play, then save still in ep11, you may see that message. If you load the initial save in v12 and take it all the way into ep12, it should save/load normally after that. Come onto the discord service if you want to chat live and share some screenshots to help discuss it.

Just finished some of my old saves. One big problem in EP 13 is that the background cheating system is too aggressive. For instance my Jill line, I used to be like a walking-fucking machine in first two seansons ( I mean this is a adult game) and I found myself became attached to Jill and went into a relationship with her at the end of the S2. Starting from S3, I tried to behave myself for this relationship although there were some flirts ( again, this is a adult game), and in the EP13, my character suddendly decides he felt suck and break with Jill. I was like: What the Fuck????? I agree you have pay for your old decisions but this cheating score system is too fucking sensetive.

Same for Sage. The Cheating score is dismentalling the character arc. I did not slept with Jade. I fucked around a lot. Sage does not give a shit. But I suddently decided to break up.

I load my "End of Episode 11" save and the game starts fine on Ep 12. When I went to continue where I left off in Ep 12, I go to the Continue screen and the save reads "Incompatible save"

So this might be a crazy question, but how involved would it be if say there was a way to have fans to bid to voice characters, not the mc itself but id figure there would be plenty who would chose to be the voice of jill or tommy and so forth. though maybe that kind of thing would need to wait till season 4 is over. But the actually coding and such would that actually be possible?

Everything is possible. It all depends on how much time you want to spend on it. For this project, you'd need to voice 221 characters (and counting). Having it made at a quality that ensures consistency throughout the project, manually handle hundreds of thousands of voice files, finding enough VAs to make it work, distribute the lines they each should record, collecting recordings, keeping file sizes down, handling bugs with that, allowing for everyone's save files to get ruined as a result of the coding that shifts all save points, and the sheer time to write commands to connect the voice file to the correct dialogue statement... As you can see, it's a lot of work. And that's also assuming it's fan-made and free. And despite all that work, I think many would mute the voices first thing when playing, because by now most have a character voice in their head for each one. And if the VA doesn't live up to that voice, it ruins the immersion. So, that's the long answer to my summed-up answer: "It's possible, but not feasible".

Season 1 and 2 are availlable on Steam, GOG and also here if you suscribe to a high enough level. Pick your favorite platform. You'll be able to import your seasons 1 and 2 playthroughs final saves in the Patreon version of the season 3 whatever platform that you use.

Lily is one of the few girls I've not romanced at all yet. She progressively grew on me while playing the season 3. There's also Nora and Quinn that I haven't touched yet. But I've always intensely hated Quinn and the last two episodes made sure that I hated her even more violently to the point I would absolutely welcome her getting thrown into prison or a body bag. So, a Quinn playthrough is very unlikely until quite a lot of time.

The voices in my head... hehe. But honestly, I think this would really be an issue there all the effort would be wasted although the idea sounds good. It only needs one or two characters that have a voice I would not expect to turn it all off. Would be a pity for all the hard work.

I've always like Lily, she's a tough nut to crack, and that's why I like her. I'm hopeful but time will tell. As for Quinn, hmmm. I don't see myself chasing her anymore. Maybe in the first 8 episodes but if things don't change. I'm done. Nora was fun but I'm not that into her. I do love me some Sally though. Hya DrPinkCake, i have a question about EP12 and if their is a known bug. Everytime i try to play Ep 12 , after te recap and as soon as the new part begins, after Bella and james walk a bit and start talking after the third sentences the game crashes. I Downloaded both 12.0 and 12.1 they both crash at the same place. I downloaded the full S3 and whereever i start everything plays well no crashes etc until i get to that part. I cant skip or play. The game just stops and ends and crashes to my normal computer screen. Thanks for your time and i hope there is something i can do about it, because i really want to play your new Epsiode 12 :)

There is a product post for Episodes 1-8 here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/58768095 When I released S3 on GOG/Steam, I couldn't keep S1-2 as a tier reward because it would be unfairly priced compared to GOG/Steam. That's why S1&2 are now in a separate product post. That way I can keep S3 as a Huge DIK reward and keep releasing S4 with the same benefits as before. If you ever had any mods, they aren't official, that's why. You need to wipe your saves, persistent file and download a fresh copy and play. That's the only known fix for mods. If you search the Windows release post they tell you where to find the saves and persistent file. Mods are a common reason for crashes of the game. Never understood why people use them.

Any clever bods out there walk me through step by step on how to patch v0.12.1 to my existing v0.11.1 I'm through to the end of episode 11 but can't get the downloaded patch to combine and update. The setup video in the patch is all scrabbled. Needs to be idiot proof!
