I woke up the next day and everything was different. Have you ever gone through a shock or an emotional upset where it changes your outlook on things? Yeah, that's what happened. And I can't go back.

Suvesh Misra

Finished it once but don't have the guts to play through that heartbreak again. But I am curious about the other endings? Is there anywhere where I can see what the other endings are? Like described. The walkthrough only says how to get them but doesn't describe them. Same as anything I find if I google it.

I just found and finished "Acting Lessons 1.0.0" and just HAD to comment. Wow... God! Wow! What a story! It's sexy. It's a love story. It's a mystery. It's a tear jerker. I hated the ending. I loved the ending! I rarely replay VNs. Not this time. I need to replay for a different ending. One spoiler. Sorta: Most games of this genre with black characters have them portrayed as jerks, to say the least. Liam in "Acting Lessons" is fun, funny, and a great pal with a great look and a hilarious personality. I loved the character, actually my favorite, and I'm a white guy. Go figure. Thanks Dr. PinkCake (please move/copy this comment to a public post. I can't find where to make this comment public)

Damnnn..I loved everything about the game. Just finished it and Episode 7 and 8 really broke me. I don´t know yet if I can replay it cause I´d really like to with all the different options. Even if I suspected that plot twist to happen I loved everything about it. Maybe I´ll play it again after some time´s passed

Cpt_Sarcasto

I just want to say that I absolutely loved this game. First VN that I just had to replay. Amazing writing! It would have been amazing even without adult scenes. I understand that it wouldn't have the same impact with the all happy ending, but somewhere inside I just wish it could have happend. I absolutely love the characters and I find myself eager to know more. I'm new here but I really wish for the author to get the credit he deserves. This game is what VN should be all about, believable story, no bs. That few hours of living in character skin. I can't wait for more stories and characters to spend more time with. Absolutely stellar job!!! (I'm more than happy for this comment to be used as an endorsement) Massive Thanks Dr. PinkCake

terminater2012

This game is just amazing. The bindings between you and the characters were so great. Getting closer to the end you felt how dramatic it got I cried. It got so emotional and the decisions you made early that you thought of having no effect had an effect and turned it all 360°. One of the best games I have ever played. Looking forward for "Being a DIK". It was a rough experience like Life Is Strange.

Jonnyo

Have to say, it got one of the most beautiful, heartbreaking, emotinal Story that i´ve ever played ! ( compare to all PC Games - like Walking Dead Telltale and other triple AAA titles..) Ive often spent 30-50 € for a game with a bad story or at least with a story wich wasn´t realy statisfiing.. - Should be more "Creators" like you which can realy capture the emotion of the moment and pull it down in words and in an masterpiece of Picture - which can say more than thousands of words or emotions. Just have to say: Thank you for this experience ! (PS: during the play, its got sometimes real emotional, so i realy had to cry - and that won´t happen often - definitely not at video games ! - a grat praise ofr that !)

CARL D

I have never posted any comment on games, but I have to do it for Acting lesson. I love this game, and I hate this game. I love it because it is so real, and I hate it for the same reason. The ending is not perfect, and yet that's why it made the most perfect ending. A part of me wanna accept this ending, but the other part of me still expects something miracle would happen and get a normal ending. Feeling getting a PTSD cause of the ending though...

Nathaniel Schultz

I just finished the game, I definitely wasn't expecting that ending. Dr. PinkCake, I have some friends in the videogame industry; and this is the type of story writing they pay 10's of millions for. I'm going to have them check out your work and hopefully get in contact with you.

DrPinkCake

I'd appreciate that very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Paul

It might have been said before already, but thank you so much for making your games Linux friendly! I joined your page just because you make this playable on Linux. Great game!

DrPinkCake

I did a survey on this last year and you're definitely in the 1% of players who play Linux. I'm glad that the game works for you, it's not an issue for me to make Linux ports so I will keep doing it for all my RenPy games. Thanks for the support!

Krakatoa64

Is there still a way to get this game? none of the links work for me

DrPinkCake

Please try again. There was a problem with the Google drive link, all other links work.

StirredUpSynapse

Having trouble opening game files to play them? I may just be computer illiterate

DrPinkCake

Right click the downloaded file and choose extract here (install winrar if you don't have it. there's a free version) For PC double click the .exe file, for Mac double click the app and for linux run the shell script

Derek Dyson Wade

This game makes me want to learn how to add a mod for an additional unlikely ending -- to have the option to "take out" a certain a-hole in episode 2 and fill in the missing plot hole with serious consequences Liam or I suffer. In essence, sometimes the best choice seems like the worst choice. It would satisfy my need to believe there is a Karmic balance in the universe, and choices can alter outcomes.

Andres

Did you ever figure out what is wrong? I can't seem to run the game either. Keep getting application has stopped working.

Bblabla

I know I am really late on playing Acting Lessons - but is it really true that there is no possible ending with both girls surviving 🙏🏼😭

Soul_less327

Yes, unfortunately you are stuck with that bs ending. Hopefully Being A DIK will end with all of the girls still breathing, ffs.

Paul glasson

Actin Lessons... Not what I was expecting at all. Ty so much for your work and effort. I hate you :) but ignore the haters... Acting Lessons is great and a dose of pain in what is normally a predictable genre makes it stand out that much more. cant wait to see what you come up with next (after DIK that is).

king4bear

I wouldn't call it bs. I genuinely think it put a brilliant emotional spin on what would have been a linear love story. Besides, the scene where you find out who killed (whoever you didn't save) was one of the most brilliant in any erotic story I've ever experienced. Also, I don't know that everyone will survive Being a DIK... There are a lot of hints at some of the DIKs, HOTs, and teachers being in dangerous situations. I'm placing bets already as to who survives season 2.

Elspeth Hunt

This is the first VN I've played start-to-finish, and the first game I've played in a long time that made me bawl my eyes out at the end. Absolutely brilliant work, looking forward to what you work on next. <3

Bigfootsbestfriend2

100% agree. I'm traumatized and conflicted in how I feel but also deeply moved by it.

Ladiesonly

I didn't even know this game existed when i signed up for the patreon. Downloaded it to kill some time. Played it about 10 hours straight the story was so enthralling i couldn't stop. glad i didn't look into the game and just played off my own feelings the immersion is amazing and crippling at the same time. I finished playing this and i am amazed by the story, i have never been so emotionally invested in characters as i was in this. I laughed i cried i can't believe a video game pulled these feelings out of me. You are amazing, just Thank YOU

Florian Foerster

Hi, I tried to install Acting Lessons on my Galaxy Tab S6. After round about 90% install of the App it stopped with a message: It wasn't installed. Any ideas?

Ota9Nipp0n

I finished the game yesterday, and now trying to get all the missing scenes from Gallery, I find doing that somewhat difficult, having to micro manage the RPs and FPs... Is there any tip or advice on getting Gallery completed quicker? I'd rather not start new game so many time, even with the Skip option, I guess the guide could be improved in the future somehow, if possible. I feel I enjoy B.A.D more, but Acting lesson is still very good. Great job, DrPC!

Possumlips

Tried to download Acting lessons Andoid app to my Onn tablet but wouldn't work, It was one of the main reasons for this tier was I was hoping to read from it and not just PC.

Mr.Cookie

Hi, will you put this up for google drive again? Mega upload dosn't work at all, it always crashes when it should finally download. That website is a piece of trash.

DrPinkCake

No problem. I put a PC link for Gdrive up there. Let me know if it was another OS you wanted link for.

Mr.Cookie

Hi, great thanks. The download went super smooth now

Darkathias

Thanks for stimulus I can now go to the $15 tier for the walkthrough.

Patric Nilsson

I agree. If you change that it wouldn't have been the same game we all fell in love with. As painful as it was to play, it really took the story to the next level. And this makes this game stay with you in your memory for many years.

Patric Nilsson

Playing Acting Lessons was such a emotional rollercoaster ride for me. I praised you, then I cursed your name and then I praised you again. I was ugly crying through most of the second half of the game out of both sadness and joy. Few games have had this big emotional effect on me. In fact, the only ones I can think of right now are Telltale's The Walking Dead, Life is Strange and the legendary VN Katawa Shoujo. As much as a part of me want to change part of the game (lets face it, when it happened all of me wanted that) most of me don't because it wouldn't have been the same experience. While the game was already amazing, those parts is what makes it stand out and makes people remember it for many years. While I want to get all the endings and unlock all the scenes (including some that didn't get unlocked, for some reason) I don't think I can. Not in the near future, at least. I need to digest this game first. It's been a couple of hours since I finished it but it's still so fresh and emotional. But seriously, thank you for this amazing experience!

Blissful Deviant

100% agree with Patrick. This game was an emotional roller coaster, with its highs and lows, the happy and the sad. Just when you think you've pieced the story together it takes the most unexpected turns. To put it simply, this game is a masterpiece. Thank you DrPinkCake

Corrado Della Bruna

I state that I am Italian and that my English is not as good as I would like. A few days ago I approached the world of adult games online. It was almost by accident, I took a quick look at a couple of titles and found them pretty nice (just the preludes or a couple of "truncated" episodes). So I came across "acting school", I thought about relaxing and spending some moments of leisure. Nothing could be more wrong! This game is the online transposition of a novel, certainly for adults, but it has nothing to do with my vision of the category. It touches all the strings of human life: love, friendship, passion, sex, troubles. I never thought I'd find myself living in the shoes of the game boy, really starting to think and act as if I were him, a storm of moods and emotions all together. In short, the idea of enjoying well-made animation as adults was blown away by the "hunger" for emotions. My real life is fully satisfying: I love my job, my wife and my little baby, my friends, my colleagues. I never thought I could fall in love with Melissa, regret not having known Rona before, think about how nice it is to spend time with Liam. And this took over, it is as if I had lived a "full" second life for several hours. Even now that I have finished the story and a few hours have passed I cannot help feeling the sense of joy and sorceress that seized me during the last chapter of the same. For this I can only thank you MrPinkCake, you are really great for me. I can't wait to get started on your second job.

John M

I've finished the game fully on Steam and damn what a masterpiece it is, genuinely had me emotional during several of my playthroughs! Hats of to you DrPinkCake, I only wish there were more games out there at your level of quality! Anyway I have a quick question for you, I wondered what the "Extra material" is that's mentioned in the title here, does it differ much from the Steam version and if so by how much? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything from this amazing game, cheers :)

DrPinkCake

Extras were animations, in the past, there were 2 versions of the game, one with and one without animations. So, you're not missing anything playing the Steam version. Cheers

John M

Ah right ok, thanks for the quick reply and letting me know! Keep up the great work :)

MacTaggert

I just finished Acting Lessons as well and I could not agree with you more. It was certainly not what I expected and I was very quickly drawn in. The story and character interaction and development drive you to see what will happen next. That is the work of a good novelist. They paint the picture and take you on a journey. The good ones make you continue, want more, and also drive you forward to see what will happen next. And I agree, it was nice to slip into a second life and experience the world or become the Main Character. It certainly and unexpectedly made an impression on me.

Jimmy Veeks

just finished this, I think you broke my heart a little bit there buddy... wish there was a way to avoid that fatal choice, I would have saved them both if I could.

teodorok

I haven't played acting lessons yet because of the Mc being a middle-aged man who I cant personally relate to since I am a university student and also because it didn't have milfs as main girl characters. But after giving a try to BaDik two months ago, my vision of adult games changed completely, I couldn't imagine an adult game being better than most romance-erotic novels out there. It really has all the features to become the best adult game ever made, amazing music, background story, characters and relationships development that makes sense according to the decision we take and the events so far, some plot twist that makes you almost fall off your chair , epic cool moments that makes you envious of the lives of the characters, amazing and well-developed characters personalities that makes you realise how much the author care about them and the cherry on the cake really well-animated, hot, erotic, passionate and romantic sex scenes along with music that makes you tremble all over your body. So now the reason I won't play Acting Lessons yet is that I am afraid of failing my courses at university since I became an addict to BaDik for three weeks until I got all the scenes and routes possible and thanks to that almost fail my exams XD, and not because of some prejudice against the game because if it is at least 30% as good as BaDik then it is one of the most amazing adults game I will be able to find. So I will come back to share my emotions after I have the privilege to play it later.

Djoekjema

Keep us posted, and wish you all the best with your studies!

bob

can you put the osx version on gdrive please.

Todd fletcher

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the Mac OS as well..

Cman2500

Played BaDIK first and this second, which was a mistake. BaDIK is such a great game, beautiful, great story and characters (Derek my brother from another mother) and im sure that one will get even better with more episode releases. Then i started Acting Lessons and it was cool I guess, didnt really get into it. The game was older and less pretty, the dialogue wasnt great and Liam was the most interesting character and funny as fuck. THEN after settling in on the obvious choice of romance angle I get hit with this huuuuge bomf og REALLY having to choose and the consequences of that choice. It was devastating, heartbreaking and totally changed the game from a typical erotic click-n-go game to showing the player some really hard life choices. Totally blindsided by that sudden twist. Tears were spilt and fists clenched. This is a gem of a game. Just a mindblowing experience. Hats off to the author and Im looking forward to more BaDIK with both excitement and dread.

Dashman

Legit other than Katawa Shoujo no other VN made me feel for any characters so much and it was not even that close. I legit ugly cried and im a freaking hospice nurse by trade. How dare you make me feel (ftr I would have grabbed them by collar and dragged them both like we were taught in CLS the the window)

Conso

Yea Acting Lessons was Dr's first (least as far as I know). So I imagine he had far less equipment to do the renderings and scenes. Now with I think over 12k patrons he has had the money to upgrade his system a few times. BaD is better overall, but like I said I believe that's due to lack of higher end equipment and also lessons he learned from his first creation. I was in the military and lived in the barracks, so Derek brought back old memories a plenty and more than once had me wheezing from laughter. Also, no joke, end of Ep 6 I literally could not sleep I was so worried at what Jill would get into I had to get out of bed and play until I realized it wasn't my worst fear.

Lancastle Studio

Does this have any relation to BaDIK? I started this one and have not DIK yet. I did see references to it hence why I'm asking :)

Conso

DrP initially made Acting Lessons, then started on Being a DIK with the intention of it being a prequel, but he changed his mind at some point early on and he's said that it is not a prequel anymore. Thus the similarities between the game, DIK frat, same punk roommate that caused him troubles, Liam and Derick both same personality, etc.

Lancastle Studio

Oh thanks, after playing BaDIK I do see the similarities at some, still works as a reference though. Still love it!

Onii Mediaworks

So EVERY TIME I get to one of the driving scenes where the protagonist talks to someone, I'm practically screaming in my head "LOOK AT THE ROAD LOOK AT THE ROAD LOOK AT THE ROAD"

Oliver

I finally got around to reading Acting Lessons and wow, just wow. I'm not an emotional person but damn that shit really hits you in the feels. Overall, while that one decision really messes with you, I think I picked the best route.

RMZ

How dare you break my heart like that :( Amazing experience nonetheless.

박 만두

Which file do I need to click to launch the game? I can't run the game.

Barleyman

Ugh, first comment under download link and spoils the ending.

Faezan Redwan

Hi, having issues with opening the archive file on mac. Used iZip unarchiver but the unzipping did not go through. Any advice on this?

DrPinkCake

Unzip in Terminal Open Terminal. You can use the Mac search at the top right and start typing Terminal. It will appear, click on it to open the program. Type “unzip” and a space, then drag/drop the zip file into the Terminal window. Press Enter and the zip file will be unzipped, storing all files on your computer.

Faezan Redwan

thanks for the reply. My mistake, I meant to say that I keep on being directed to my unarchiver app when I open the exe file. Tried unzipping exe using terminal and saw this message. End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive. unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /Users/user/MEGAsync Downloads/ActingLessons-1.0.2-pc/ActingLessons.exe or /Users/user/MEGAsync Downloads/ActingLessons-1.0.2-pc/ActingLessons.exe.zip, and cannot find /Users/user/MEGAsync Downloads/ActingLessons-1.0.2-pc/ActingLessons.exe.ZIP, period. MacBook-Pro:~ user$

DrPinkCake

Sorry for the late reply. That sounds like the zip file you downloaded was incomplete, which sometimes happen when you use MEGAsync. I would clear the cache for the browser and download it again. You can also try downloading from the GDRIVE link. DM me if you need further assistance, my inboxes are full so it's tough to spot help requests.

Faezan Redwan

Thanks for the reply. Yeah figured there was an issue in my initial download and succeeded in getting a perfect download some days ago. Loved the game. Simple but a well thought out plot!

Stuart Luff

Mac version does not download. The file is corrupt. It downloads instantly (supposed to be 3GB!) and it says it cant open as the filetype is not recognised. And the MEGA link forces you to download their app giving some bullcrap about the browser not being able to download big files.

FringeRunner

Yeah, I have never had a game (or even a movie) crush me that way. I literally ached for a week after finishing the game.

James Bridge

This games story is amazing is it visually as pleasing as BaDik no but the story is very great very emotional game.

MarcDGZ

Hi! Bought both Acting Lessons and Being a DIK ages ago on steam :D Correct me if I am wrong, was it ever stated here that Acting Lessons were about to lauch on Android or smth like that?

Alex

wow this story tore my heart out.
