Hi!I need your help.I've been getting reports about crashes/memory leaks, but most of the reports come from players of illegal/modified versions of my game, which makes it really hard for me to know if there is a problem on my end. These issues weren't found during beta testing (with 8 players).

I wanted to make sure that my patrons aren't experiencing any of these reported issues.

Please answer this survey truthfully and if you faced any issues during the update leave a comment with how it happened. Also, if it crashed, please let me know if your PC/laptop is very old or modern.

Also, this is how you ALWAYS should install Being a DIK:

1. Delete the old version of Being a DIK, the entire folder and its contents. The saved games are kept as a backup elsewhere. 

2. Download the new game. Unzip it to a location that's not C:/ (PC users only).

3. Play the game!

NEVER merge folders of old versions of the game and a new version.

i was using the walkthrough mod and the save games were incompatible. when i updated to 0.3 i reinstalled the mod and no crashes at all

I noticed it was slow to respond at times during the mini games but never crashed.

Thank you for the feedback! Please remember that unofficial mods won't be tested by me or my testers and that they will likely crash and/or affect your game in the future, too. I would recommend waiting until the modder updates the mod or to not use it at all. It's your choice.

Which minigames were slow for you? All of them or just some? Do you have a modern PC?

yeah,i know. even with mods the game is stable for me no glitches at all, however i'm using 32gb ram 7600k and rtx2070

I suffered multiple memory leaks, distorting the music. The game was about to crash once, but recovered. I have no unofficial mods, but my computer is on its last lap, and will invest in a new one in the near future, so it can be simply old hardware.

No crash, whatsoever. It ran smooth as butter. But, should anyone have problems, please don't hesitate and tell your experience to make the future Episodes better for all of us.

Mine crashed due to a memory leak, but I think it was because I didn't delete the older version first and tried to start from my last save from v0.2.0 Lesson learned. Will I have to delete the v0.3.0 version I have now and download a fresh one?

i never had any crashes.. and i play without any mods etc.. and that is even without deleting old game version...

You should be able to continue on old saves with new Episodes. Did it work after you restarted the game? Is your PC a modern one?

My machine is an older-model Dell Inspiron laptop running on Windows 7 Vista Pro OS with 4GB of RAM. It seemed to start out OK when I ran the new version but it got really buggy quickly. Would a copy of the log be helpful?

My first try crashed because I used a modified save file. After I started a new game (first deleted all appdata files) it works smooth, perfect I would call it :)))

I merged the folders and the game is working (no mods). No problems. The game worked so well that the new episode was played through in no time. :)

Renamed old version of the game, grabbed new version, copied across my saves from V2 and went super smooth.

Nice! For your info, you don't have to copy saves. RenPy stores that in a hidden folder. But it's your call.

Gameplay was very smooth. However when I downloaded it first my laptop became super slow. It was fine when I had steam games downloaded then for some reason I ran the game and it became slow. I thought it was time to reset anyway so I did so, downloaded the game the first chance I had and it ran really smooth and fast until towards the end my laptop became super slow again. I have 8gb ram and 1tb of storage. And I started the game fresh. Anyways no crashes or freezes. I also don't have any mods. Thanks for the update can't wait for the next!

Good to know! There seems to be a correlation between crashes and PCs with lower specs. I have made a fix that might help you. It will likely be uploaded tomorrow if you want to try it again.

i7-4930K CPU, 32 GB Ram, SSD drives/no HDD, GTX 680, Windows 10 pro x64. I noticed it on brawler where I'd hit a key and it took a second to register that I hit it on screen. It didn't affect the games outcome where I would still win. Other than that I didn't notice any freezing or crashing issues.

Just had the driver issue with video - once updated, it worked fine. On a modern pc with 1070 gtx, 16 gb ram and i7 6700. No mods.

No crashes, 2015 MBP but running the game off a USB 3.0 Samsung flash drive. MacOS 10.13.6 with 8 GB RAM.

No issues on my end. But, I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I'm missing one scene on the gallery: the 4th from ep 3. I find it weird because I got a really sexual scene with a character and it isn't in the gallery, which makes me believe that it is a bug. I'm afraid to say the character's name because it might be considered spoiler, so I'm going to report it at discord.

Oh, something very weird happened. All my saves on page 9 from the previous version disappeared, but not the saves from page 1. I never used any mod. The saves from page 9 were sexual acts, while the saves from page 1 are dedicated to the girls. Thanks to the gallery, I'm not missing the lost saves, although I miss the CUM-petition scene with Quinn. Perhaps you could consider adding that scene at the gallery as well?

game works really well running with a i5 7th gen processor 8 gb ram and 500 GB samsung evo SSD with a nvidia 1050 geforce gtx on a laptop

Did you try playing without minigames? You can get the same rewards without minigames. I just uploaded a version that makes brawler easier to beat (Easy mode).

Downloaded the patched version, and the game ran flawlessly until the MC met with Bella in the library, then crashed when I pushed the scene pacing. Evidently the slow pan up and down is a memory hog. When I re-ran the scene and advanced the pace more slowly it slowed down and got briefly choppy, but ran normally after that.

That sounds like a memory issue for sure. That animation is definitely a big one. (3x fullHD anim) I will likely not repeat that kind of animation, it didn't turn out the way I wanted.

I noticed a lot of graphic glitches on scene with Sage (after her agreement with Chad) that bothers me. During version 1-2 the scenes where perfect so I guess I need to update my drivers and maybe my codecs....Still a great game though...

The game worked great and had no problems. love the new update to brawler mode. the game is top probably the best out there right now. appreciate all the hard work on the game and renders and scenes

I didn't have any graphical glitches at all with Episode 3. Everything ran smoothly, transitioned well. The only thing I did notice was some delay when RMB clicking to bring up the menu to save/load, etc. Even then, it was random and I summed it up to being my machine rather than something with the game.

no kinda fuzzy not as sharp. A perfect example would be it almost seemed like I was playing Melody or Dating my Daughter but I just updated my nvidia drivers (was 7 months old) and will start a new game since im getting my butt kicked by everyone in the Brawler scenes now

Just got this and after the intro, the game crashes when I try to start a new game. Then when I load the game back up, I have to go through the intro again and crash again when I click new.

I apologize in advance if these crashes have already been posted about. I did a quick search and didn't see anything so far. In Episode 3 during the shower scene with Melanie the game crashed after selecting "lana" for one of the positions. In Episode 4 during the extra curricular scene with Sage, the game crashed after froggy style and before boom goes the dynamite. I didn't try these again upon rebooting the game. I just went with other choices and things continued as normal.
